Wyndham Garden Fort Wayne

The noisiest hotel I’ve ever stayed in! We spent extra for a tub room and it’s right by the hotel laundry. In and out all day long and they don’t care how loud they are. They slam everything around. We got zero sleep. It’s like they run into the doors and walls with their carts and don’t even care. We also called about an early check in because we were coming from out of town. Girl on the phone was super nice and said yes that would be fine and went ahead and set it up. When we arrived hours early the next day the guy working the front desk was very rude and said there weren’t any rooms available yet and we were sol. I didn’t really care but his attitude was awful. It was clean but had a lot of things that needed fixed. Not relaxing and not e got zero rest. I left my kids to relax and didn’t get that opportunity at all. Total rip off.

The location is fine for the reasons we visit the area. The property is more than adequate. They have a sign on the front desk when you enter the building with a bunch of restrictions about the use of the pool. We don't swim at this location but I found it disappointing since we go to other locations where my grandchildren are located and spend some time together with them. And where available we have used the pool for some family time. I didn't care for the restrictions and probably would not use this location if I was spending time with any family in the area. The room next to ours was noisy. I wasn't feeling well and took meds to sleep, but was awakened several times by the noise. I was able to enjoy what sounded like an exciting film at 2:00 AM that was shared from the occupants of the room next door's TV. I guess I can't hold that against the property but there didn't seem to be that many occupants to where they could spread us out a bit to help with the noise between rooms.

Have stayed here before and Stayed for 5 nights visiting family. Bed was comfortable. Outdoor pool closed for season but indoor section is open. Breakfast has a great selection and coffee is always available Would stay here again

It was clean and adequate. The breakfast was good with plenty of options. The rooms are not sound proof we couldn’t sleep because of screaming kids and people at the ice machine most of the night.

The room itself was fine, it was large and had the amenities we were looking for. However, there was a very sticky spot on the carpet, and the door would get stuck on the tile when opening but then slam shut when closing. The hotel was a weird layout so our room felt very far away from the elevator and traveling with small children we had some extra luggage, so that wasnt very convenient. When we arrived at about 7:30/8pm on a Tuesday, there were many people standing around at different truck beds drinking beers, which felt weird since this hotel has a bar, garden area and pool area where they could do this. Lastly, the freeway entrance/exit was right outside our window and even with the window closed, the semi truck traffic was very loud throughout the night.

Our room was decent - good sized and clean. It was quiet, too, despite being near the highway. The staff at the hotel was exceptional - helpful and friendly. We enjoyed the breakfast bar options (breakfast burritos, several varieties of pastries, yogurt, fruit, hard-boiled, eggs, and make-your-own pancakes). The only downside was that the pool was a bit small and pretty chilly, but my kids had fun in it anyway.

The property is updated, but the room was not as clean as I would have liked. There were cobwebs in 3 ceiling corners of the bathroom. The door to the room had to be lifted a bit in order to be closed. One staff member commented about parties on weekends and getting hurt in one. The sign at the front desk about not letting children run around the halls unattended was a red flag. I did not feel unsafe, but some of the guests we saw were a bit rougher around the edges.

Property and room wasn’t very clean, noise was high all night due to a large family event. My daughter just moved to Fort Wayne so I’ll be coming back to the area and I most definitely won’t be staying at this hotel ever again.

One night stop for the family. Affordable and everything about the property was a good value and 8.5 out of 10 for everything about the property and staff.

Loved the pool and fire pit with large patio for family gathering.
