Eaglewood Resort and Spa

Eagle Resort is located outside Chicago but it felt like I went to another state. It's a tucked away gem. I will return for another quick getaway for myself, withmy family or with girlfriends.

The property was beautiful and the scenery took my breath away. I am recommending this resort to my friends and family.

The property and staff were great. There were a few issues with the room, we had a junior suite and it was missing a phone, one of the 2 tvs did not work, the thermostat only showed one number so it was difficult to know what to set the temperature too and the in room safe was locked and broken. We let the staff know of the issues but they were not fixed.

The spa was great for the entire family. The kids can play in the pool and the adults can enjoy a treatment, sauna, etc. Great value.

For the price I thought the accommodations would be better, but it’s a little old and run down. But it was clean. But I will say everything we ate there was delicious. The food was excellent in every restaurant, the market and in the ballroom during a wedding! The fitness center was a little bleak but the pool was nice. I can’t speak on the spa or golf as we did not utilize these things but the course was beautiful. Also liked that there was a park right across the street from the resort so if you have little ones someplace to take them to get some energy out. The staff was nice and helpful.

We come as often as we can!! Love this place, kids are grown so now we go together had have a blast, I think I have more fun with him grown lol he is hilarious 😆

Had a wonderful time in the pool and bowling alley with the kids. The rooms are nice and spacious. Beautiful resort

The grounds are very nice, but the rooms and the furniture need updating. Great for families!

It’s a nice facility, but they have “rules” and behaviors that demonstrate they are not in touch with what travelers want. For example, the pools and workout room open at 10:00 am on Saturday, Food and beverages are not allowed poolside, short hours for the bowling alley (we couldn’t get on the lanes). There were no garbage cans in the lobby, which was th a only place we found to eat a family pizza meal. The only microwave is behind the checkin desk and was really dirty inside. I think they cater to the local golf crowd and weddings/banquets more than travelers. We were here two nights with 7 grandkids. It was good but overall a disappointment.

Check in was fast, room had left over food and alcohol in fridge, no coffee pot in room. Bowling run down and very small and $30 a hour which we weren’t told about until we finished. No signage or even a hello from person behind bar. Would have skipped for that price, bowling balls all too heavy for us and kids. Pool was ok, just a hassle to get in and towels weren’t available when we arrived.
