The Westin Chicago Northwest

This is the first time I have stayed at this hotel and it was a very comfortable stay. I got upgraded to the junior suite and loved the interstate view from my corner room .

Hello, We unfortunately had a HORRIBLE experience at the Westin NW Chicago (Itasca)… My family and I flew in from Arizona and were greeted by friendly associates during check-in. They were extremely helpful and polite. We had booked a corner room (305) and were excited to get to the room and get some sleep. We started running a bath for our special needs child around 8pm and could not get any hot water for 20 mins. We called the front desk who sent somebody up within 10 mins to check, and just like that the hot water was working. The next morning we were woken by a fire a alarm at 7AM (keep in mind that is 5AM Arizona time) and had to evacuate and begin our trip without adequate risk. Our child is also terrified of fire alarms. We were outside for almost a half hour before the firemen allowed us back in. Upon trying to shower, we yet again ran into the issue with ZERO hot water, and had to call the front desk after about a half hour it was fixed yet again. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant and while waiting for our food the fire alarm went off again, and we were forced to evacuate. On Wednesday and Thursday, we ran into the same issues with the hot water and it would take us calling the front desk and waiting for somebody in order for it to be resolved. We probably lost at least half a day of our trip just trying to bathe and get hot water. I am from IL originally and know this hotel well. If you need a hotel to get some sleep, stay somewhere else. All floors/rooms are open overlooking the lobby. Listening to people party and children screaming in the lobby until 2am is not ideal.

I raised this concern with hotel reception multiple time but nobody paid attention to it. It was all the time to noise, because of it we were not able to sleep whole night. It was wastage of money and time it was my birthday next day but I was not having any energy to take family out whole day. It was pathetic stay. I should be given my money back and compensation for this.

The hotel room we stayed was pretty nice and clean. The front desk staff was very kind and nice to everyone. This was family trip and we stayed one night there.

Gives the Westin name a bad reputation with loud rooms, poor service and questionable cleanliness. We checked in and were only handed keys. I had to ask where to load luggage and where elevators were. We got to the room it was late and the bed was broken in the room when I tried to call the phone was broken. We carried both kids and luggage back down to the front desk. We dealt with a different staff who got us another room right away. The new room was fine but we noticed food under the desk and bed from other guests. We had to call to ask about wifi and the pool. At midnight we were told the pool opened at 7am so we got the kids ready when we woke up to find out the pool closed that day for 3 weeks for maintenance. Overall staff provided no information and didn't seem to know what was happening in the hotel. We only booked the hotel because it had a pool. The second night the adjoining room was booked and you could hear everything the phone ring, toilet flush, etc. The guests decided to have a party after 2am. The hotel dealt with it but overall this hotel experience was extremely disappointing and not what you would expect from the Westin name. Overall rooms are dated with stained carpets. I will never stay here again.

The air was not working in any of the 5 rooms my family and I stayed in. We got a fan for the night but it really just pushed around hot air. For the amount of money you pay and the Westin name, you’d think the air would works

Beatiful place but the clerk when asked if it would be quit he said not a chance, there was 4 wedding. cared more for the big dollar then a family after a long flight. Pellows smelt bad and kids were running all night.
