Crowne Plaza Lombard Downers Grove, an IHG Hotel

No Breakfast over weekend even though I choose this hotel because they have breakfast option. They don't have housekeeping after 2 PM. I needed housekeeping to setup the sofa bed for my kids, but we were told we need to set up ourselves. Sof bed is small for 16 years old and 9-year-old kids.

We stay at this hotel often and love it! The only thing we feel needs improvement is the seating in the pool area. There are only a couple tables with a few chairs and the lounge chairs are so sunken it’s difficult to get in and out. It’s a bit of a challenge for the older people in our family, especially when the few “normal” chairs are taken.

Mediocre hotel at best. TV would fade from bright screened to very dark. The cabinet to the safe was completely off it's hinges when you'd try to pen it. The pipe connecting to the shower head was very loose and would swivel when trying to just adjust the aim of the water. Kids running up and down the hallway. At one point one of the kids heated up a honey bun in the communial microwave causing the fire alarm to go off. Needless to say I won't be staying here again.

Stayed with for a night when visiting family in the area. Very clean. People were pleasant. Wish we had time for the pool!

Our grandchildren loved the pool! Our breakfast was delightful… cloth tablecloth and napkins. Excellent staff in the restaurant and the check in. Gabriel was wonderful….. even though it only his second day!! We will return!

Crown Plaza is convenient to stay at in location to pick family in Glen Ellyn. Property is clean but needs updating.

Beautiful space, great for business or family time. We'll definitely look to book here again.

The indoor pool is very nice if your family likes swimming. The room was comfortable. Its an older hotel but very clean.

Property was accommodating and staff very friendly. Sofa beds were not the greatest (stained and uncomfortable, but fine for the kids. Pool was very nice. Will stay again.

The staff was very nice, but housekeeping staff untrained. We had a series of issues, which were made right by a refund of a night stay. Overall, it's a nice enough place for the money. The website billed our room as 4 people, thank goodness our son did not come and we only had 3. It has a king size bed and a twin couch pull-out. Their explaination was that 3 people could fit in a king size bed. Sleeping with small children is unsafe, sleeping with older kids is weird.... Our daughter's pull-out was very thin and stained. The blanket provided for it in the closet was dirty. The pillow provided for it was tiny and there was only one. Front desk took care of a replacement for the pillow right away. 8:30 am Monday morning we are woken up by a soft knock and someone entering our room. Housekeeping....for a NOON check out. Can't we check the front desk and see who checked out before waking people up and entering their room on vacation? I went down to the front desk and they said all they could do because I booked through this site was extend my check out by an hour. Whatever at this point. Fifteen minutes before the extra hour was up, with a "do not disturb" sign hung out, the housekeeping MANAGER knocks on our door to see when we are checking out. Location is close to Chicago, away from the traffic, good places to eat around, a not far from a super cute downtown.
