Best Western Chicago - Downers Grove

When I checked in it looked safe and a family environment, but at night it was scary. So many men coming in and out, reeked like marajuana, and one person snuck in the door in the lobby where they let you in with a buzzer. Did not feel safe at night.

I booked a room through Expedia First thing I encountered at the front desk was an attitude, with them saying, 'You booked it through Expedia.' I had reserved a suite for 2 nights and I asked for a crib for my 10-month-old baby boy, but they said they didn't have one. As a result, I had to sleep on the floor. Furthermore, the sheets and covers were not clean. I will not be recommending this place to anyone

I was very impressed with my first time there. I will be staying there next year when I come back for family. I like the breakfast they serve.

It was exactly what we needed when we needed it. The bkfstT was one of the greatest had. Please tell the server. She did an excellent job keeping all the stations filled. I would definitely come back. My daughter lives in DG with her husband and children. Noisy with cicadas but home in Spfld, Il. we have not one.. yet. Thank you and God bless.

This hotel is not for families to stay. We had 2 rooms and both had a bed smell. Rooms were congested. Breakfast was good. Would not recommend for families with kids.

This is the best budget friendly hotel in the area. I’ve stayed here and my family when visiting from Michigan stay here. No complaints. Clean and safe. Friendly employees.

My washer was being repaired at home so I brought 2 loads to wash since this location had a washer dryer. Got there and the desk clerks were excited. Ooh, we just got a new one too. Yea well, nope it didn’t work. Had to go to the laundromat 10 min away so I could have clean underwear. The woman at the desk said she more than likely would NOT be able to get ahold of anybody to even look at it, less known service it. Only other thing I had a problem with was the breakfast. I NEVER stay at a hotel with absolutely no breakfast. It’s a must that I eat SOMETHING with my meds in the morning. Idk what they did differently with the eggs at this place since the last time I was here but they suck ass. They were gross and floating in water. NOOO For me, breakfast isn’t breakfast without eggs. I e been here several times. My family rents the banquet hall and do a New Year’s party almost every year. These eggs suck this time and I didn’t understand why. I know they’re powdered eggs but they’ve NEVER tasted like this. Staff was great. I’ve NEVER had a problem with the staff here

great value for money! Clean property, big rooms, friendly staff, contemporary styled interior, free parking on the property as well as breakfast for a good price if you want to stay in chicago on a budget. About 30 - 45 mins drive to the Loop, depending on the time you travel. There is a plaza right across where you can shop around and eat out if need be. The only suggestion for the property is to keep at least one egg option for breakfast every day which would be good for vegetarians and muslims. One day during our stay, we noticed plain scrambled egg (which is good) in the same dish as pork (which muslims do not eat). Another day, there were egg cheese and bacon sandwiches which vegetarians and muslims can't eat either. Plain egg and cheese sandwiches, scrambled egg by itself, vege omelette, etc would be good to have, and that too in separate dishes. Overall, my family n friends loved the hotel.

Hotel staff were welcoming, professional & helpful. Property was clean and conveniently located. I stayed three nights with family and would visit again.

Every time we come and visit the family in the Suburbs we stay here. The place was recently remodeled - very nice and clean. The staff like always very helpful and pleasant.
