Crowne Plaza Chicago-Northbrook, an IHG Hotel

We've stayed here before. Staff very nice. House cleaning we didn't use to much, but when we needed towels, they were great. We were NOT AWARE that the hotel has a shuttle service to pick up & drop off to & from O'Hare. I think the hotel should emphasize this with third party travel apps. I didn't like toilet it was way too low. Seemed to be made for child, not adults. Shower water pressure okay, but water kept backing up from the drain. Once maintenance came, they cleaned out a massive amount of "hair balls" then the water would drain properly. Cable TV, like out stay before required maintenance to adjust cable in back of the tv. In my opinion, the TV is so close to the wall, the cable is getting bent. Also, TV's are old. Maybe get LCD TV's with HDMI connectors. Sometimes it's nice to use your laptop to stream your own movies, but they had the old S-Video connections. The price for the hotel was reasonable. It's an average hotel. I do highly suggest two things. One a light by the door when you walk in so you can see the closet. Two, clean all the shower drains. Disgusting to think you are standing in shower with water backing up. I think over the years, enough people have showered there and hair can become an issue. Oh one last thing, get better toilet paper. Just my opinion.

First impression wasn’t great, had to wait 20 minutes for someone to come to the front desk to check-in. I had to kids beyond tired and waiting for that long hit me the wrong way. Clean hotel though. That’s really important. I would stay here again but I’d look elsewhere first.

Awesome! Location was safe and quiet. The pool area very relaxing. The kids loved everything.
