Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Chicago-Deerfield/Lincoln, an IHG Hotel

My family and I stayed here on a short weekend trip and were impressed by the friendly staff. We found the room to be comfortable and clean. We will stay here again.

There was swim lessons at the pool. Children crying. One child vomited in the pool during swim lesson, advised front desk and nothing was done.

I would stay again, staff is friendly, I love the accommodations such as the dove body wash, soap lotion. Shower water pressure was excellent. Close to the highway, pool stays open late which is good if you have kiddos you want to put to bed and enjoy some "me" time. The hotel store had great snacks and beverages. The only negative was the breakfast, for the price I felt it could have been better. The eggs were dry and the omelet was not great. I feel omelets should be made fresh to order. Overall great stay and enjoyed my time there.

Our stay was a nightmare! Started when we got to our room and heat was blaring wouldn’t shut off… so hot in the room we had to open the window. Our room was on the 3rd floor . I called the desk 7 xs in 2 hours no answer so went down stairs to desk no one around . Finally got room cooled down with window open and then two little girls started running up and down the halls until 2 am singing screaming etc. I then called front desk for help and the desk girl came up looking for the kids to stop them and then their teenage female family members were walking the halls and playing music. Played music down the hall outside the window until almost noon am … I then again contacted front desk. This was disappointing when I travel 5 + hours and this is what we get!!! I took all concerns to front desk at check out and was told nothing he could do now other than request manager to contact us. I have not heard a word .

Overall was ok. Very annoying small children, left without any adult supervision in the swimming pool area. Complained to the manager on duty. We had to leave the swimming pool area due to the noice and disturbance they were causing. I am not sure if adult parents were contacted and talked to about leaving the small children alone in the swimming pool. Will not visit again.

Very friendly staff very spacious room, family friendly.

The gentleman at the front desk was very friendly and accommodating. My kids and I very much enjoyed the breakfast in the morning as well.

The hotel is convienient to our family and all that we had to do. the front desk staff helped us sign up for points etc.

Very loud music playing until one in the morning. I had called the front desk three different times and went down once asking for them to please quiet down the guess and then the music moved to the parking lot that just happened to be outside our window of our room. It turns out they were not even hotel guests. They were staying in a motorhome, and now we’re blaring their music in the parking lot. I got no support from office stuff asking them to quiet down. The following morning there was a younger girl with a child that was filling up her backpack with food from the continental breakfast and was being very rude to other guest’s and telling them to stay out of her personal space. She then cussed at my 13 year old son, and asked why he was so f…ing close to her. There was just a lot of very strange things that went down while we were staying at this hotel. The only positive I can give this hotel is that housekeeping was amazing! Terrence, their manager was very kind and apologetic of what it happened the night before and did everything he could to try and make it right. I’ve never had things like this happen while staying at a hotel this was a first. By day two when what happened in the morning at the breakfast happened? I started thinking we were in a really bad neighborhood perhaps but we were not. On our last morning the fire alarm started going off at 6:30 AM waking up the entire building due to something burning in the kitchen. Very strange experience we had.

I liked how we were away from all the hustle and business of the big city but was close enough to see the attractions. The place was clean and the free breakfast was excellent. The staff was very friendly and attended to all our needs. We had issues with our keys working but they helped us every time in a timely manner. I would highly recommend this place to anyone and any family traveling to the Chicago area. My kids and I had a great time.
