We reserved 2 rooms. One of them was ridiculous. Situated between 2 elevator doors (soooo noisy), it was extremely small and the bed was literally a child-size bed. Our daughter who is 5’7” touched the foot of the bed. Definitely did not sleep 2 adults. Not at all what was advertised. Bait and switch. When we went to the front desk to complain, another gentleman was asking for the manager to do the same.

The hotel needs serious upgrade, you don’t want to step on those carpets without shoes. The door frames are all dented, doors are bad too, the tub in the shower is so slippery and outdated, the bathroom door it was “upgraded” to a barn door that warps when you close it, window curtains are dusty and old, ah and the water when you shower won’t drain, and let’s not talk about the mattresses, they feel and look 20 years old. One will think it was bad luck with the room but no, we had 3 rooms for the family and all the same. But the location is great ! So for the price I would look somewhere else.

Great location for Second City. Really nice hotel with up to date, clean rooms. Lots of great restaurants in the area, plenty of bars. The rooftop bar in the hotel has a lovely brunch on the weekend with a great view. Coffee is great in Elaine’s. Staff is especially friendly. We will definitely be back here again for a new Holiday family tradition.

I arrived early (11:30a) to drop off luggage before check in (3:00p), which was handled well. I was asked for my phone number and told I'd be placed in a queue and texted when a room was available. The text never came. I returned to check in at 5pm, which went well. I was given an accessible room which was in poor condition and quite run down. The caulk joint between the shower and the floor was about 3-4" wide, smeared on and messy as if done by a small child. The hallways felt damp and had an order to them. I needed to print 1 page in the business center but the printer displayed "right cover open" and would not print. Front desk said they'd call an engineer (early afternoon), and call me when it was fixed. That call never came and the printer was still not working the following morning. I had to go to a store to print. The rooftop bar/restaurant has a wonderful view but is also run down and a bit dirty. This is one of the most affordable stays in Chicago and the location is not bad. If you're stay is brief, you want something cheap and utilitarian, this is a fine option. If you want to feel pampered, this isn't the right choice. I'd stay again for a 1-night visit, but not longer.

I made a reservation in my name. The woman at the front desk found my reservation for a junior suite but would not check in my husband and daughter without my presence or my driver’s license. My husband ended up paying much more for a suite. It was frustrating, as I have stayed here in the past and enjoyed it. All it would have taken was the front desk speaking with me over the phone.

The rooms, themselves, are in desperate need of upgrading. Furniture was worn, wallpaper was peeling, water stain on the ceiling had been poorly painted over, mattress was old and uncomfortably firm, etc. That being said, the staff here are incredibly polite, friendly, and engaged. I am glad we only stayed one night in this hotel, and unfortunately I would not recommend it to family or friends. Again, huge shoutout to the staff, as they were a saving grace to my perception of my stay. If Hotel Lincoln is doing one thing right, it's the people they employ!

My family had several rooms at Hotel Lincoln. We all were celebrating our sons wedding. Yes the rooms arent super large but so nice. We had everything we needed and your staff was wonderful. Thank you and we will be back.

Great hotel. We were visiting friends close to the hotel so we didn't spend too much time in the room but it was a nice, spacious room for a family of four. Great location, quiet. Did not go up to the rooftop as was busy and didn't have time. Would stay here again. Staff was super friendly.

I’ve stayed here several times and love the location and views. The service is always great. The rooms are fine yet need upgrading especially the bathroom in junior suites. It’s time. Otherwise I would stay again.

Beautiful hotel, very friendly staff. I did however not like that the heater would turn on and off multiple times after only being off for a few minutes. The noise kept waking myself and my kids. There was also a lot of light coming through the door and with the appliances in the room.
