The Hyatt was as expected and a great value considering the price of similar hotels on the dates we visited. The location was prime and easy to walk to Millenium Park and the Riverwalk. We did a boat tour and learned that this is (or was) the largest hotel in the city. The employees still provided us with everything we needed and treated us as more than just one of thousands of guests. Downsides to this hotel were room related. We stayed in the junior suite. It had a small window but a nice view. The bathroom was bizarrely small and in general the room layout was not what I expected from a suite, but we did have plenty of square footage except in the teeny tiny bathroom with a teeny tiny shower and single sink with no counter space. The room seemed updated but the bathroom was dated and the shower had some mildew on the old glass door. If I were to visit Chicago again and competing hotels prices were much higher (as was the case on this trip), I would definitely stay here again.

The lobby to the hotel is impress. Everything (restaurants, bars, waiting area) is “open air” huge two/three level ceilings. We had to walk across the sky bridge to the West tower. The elevators are controlled by room key so access is safe. There are several waiting areas along the way and a ton of places to hang out or have a small meeting. The room was amazing! We paid for a city view and it was worth every penny!! Beds were great, tv was huge and plenty of amenities- reading lights, usb outlets, safe, Bluetooth mirror in bathroom. Very clean, spacious and incredible views. We will stay here again (2 adults, 2 kids)

The dining was excellent and the service there was amazing. The rooms were clean and we appreciated the room lighting options. The check in / check out staff were cold and messed up our checkin - we had 2 rooms reserved. At check in We were asked and we said we did not want any housekeeping services during our stay for either room. However everyday we were confronted by staff who I assumed wanted tips normally I would tip at the end of my stay but not if they keep bugging me. The room seemed in very good condition however the beds were very uncomfortable and for that reason alone we would not stay again. We were hoping for a quiet stay. However, The rooms were very noisy. We could hear small children running in the hallway before 6 am and also the people above us blasting music at all hours. This hotel needs better soundproofing. The rooms were well supplied with bathroom amenities and again, were very clean. Much appreciated that.

We really enjoyed our stay. We really appreciated the Happy Hour sushi specials at Stetsons. Our waiter, Anthony, was helpful in terms of listening to my kids love of spicy foods and made excellent recommendations. He and the staff also got my sons excited about a show we were seeing that night. Really, everyone there was lovely.

Hotel staff was amazing! Went above and beyond to make me and my family comfortable our entire trip! Most of all was Raymond at the front desk!! Made life so much easier and was willing to help accommodate requests from my family even if i thought they were ridiculous. Great stay! 👍
