Two teenage daughters and mom were in town for Lollapalooza and sightseeing. The hotel was located less than a mile from Grant Park and a reasonable walk to many sights in Chicago (close to the Bean and Michigan Avenue). We had room with double beds. Nice spacious room and bathroom. Comfortable and quiet. Beds were a little small for us. We didn’t utilize room service but DoorDash was easily accessible. We needed a refrigerator for water bottles because it was so hot but the room only had a minibar and we couldn’t cool anything. It was a bit confusing to walk to the hotel as it was tucked away and many roads were closed for Lollapalooza so we had to walk around some office buildings to find it. For this kind of trip a more family friendly hotel would have been preferable to this higher end expensive hotel.

We had high hopes for this expensive hotel, but we were disappointed by the cleanliness, hidden fees, and needs for update. When we were preparing for arrival, the options for parking were incredibly confusing and frustrating, as this is a complex area of the city to drive and park. We were unaware of the cost of parking, and that self-park was in a garage across the street, which would have been our preference. However, without clear instructions on parking options, we ended up using the valet. Upon arrival, I was shown what was included in the "urban experience fee", which was pretty useless, and should have been folded into the nightly cost (why are we charging for wifi in 2024?). It's not a resort. Included was $10 per room for breakfast, which would have gotten us a single kids meal. The hallway to our room had peeling wallpaper, the carpet in and outside the room was fraying at the edges, and we had cracked tiles and the most poorly designed bathroom which made it very awkward to use. Water pressure was terrible, and while the provided toiletries were luxury, they smelled strongly. There was a leftover french fry on our mini bar, the coffee cups were dusty, and there was a layer of dust and grime on all of the baseboard tiles. The beds weren't all that comfortable, and the pillows were terrible. We could clearly hear our neighbor's music at 11 pm through the walls. The cost for room+fees+taxes+parking was about $1600 for two nights, and it was not at all worth it.

The staff were all great! Especially the cleaners and the guy in the breakfast bar. We were just given rooms that had not been updated yet, and you could really see the wear and tear. We were not invited to use the swanky lounge - which felt a bit unfair since I'd booked a "Deluxe King" room. The restaurant was closed and a new cool looking one was being promoted, but it seemed a while off. I reported my feedback to the Front Desk on the last day. I especially emphasized that one of my windows on the 19th floor had no safety limiter on it and no screen, so a child or suicidal adult could easily fall/jump out. The woman said she would send up maintenance to fix it right away, but when I returned a few hours later, it was still broken.

Beautiful property and great staff. There was a lot of adult activity in and out of this location. Would not necessarily recommend for families.

My kids loved it here. Our suite was clean, comfortable and spacious. This place was kid friendly. The staff were very kind and helpful. There were a lot of food places around in the area if you don’t want to eat at the hotel. Only thing I didn’t like was we didn’t have a mini refrigerator. Our 4 boys had extra food and beverages with nowhere to put it to stay cold. It would have been convenient to have one. They also don’t have microwaves in the room, you’ll have to ask for one. Other than that, I would recommend this hotel for families. I was a great stay and I’ll take my family here again.

The hotel as a very good location, the room is clean and spacious . I was very happy to stay there for 3 nights with my family. But I was very disappointed with the hotel’s lost and found department,My kids left their Starbucks gifts sets in their room and forgot to take them when we checked out on last Saturday March 23th, and I was call the hotel lost and found twice on Monday, they told me they didn’t find anything in the room. My kids very upset that they lose their special gifts from the Starbucks Reserve Roastery store which spent me 189 dollars.

The staff and service is beyond superb! They really go above and beyond and accommodate their customers. Everyone was so pleasant and helpful. If I could give them an A I would. All my friends and family will be staying there when they come to visit Chicago.
