First time staying at this Aloft location. The location is great because it’s super close and walkable to everything from restaurants, shopping, and the red line station. The staff are nice, and my favorite is the Beatrix restaurant attached to the hotel because it’s super convenient especially if you don’t have a lot of time to look for places for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The only minor things I didn’t like which is not a big deal is the wide gap between the bottom of the door and the floor to my room. Also, there’s no microwave in my room, but they have microwaves available by the front desk. I recommend this hotel to single people like me or to couples who don’t have kids. Overall I had a great and smooth stay.

Liked the location. Close to many things. Bed was uncomfortable and pillows were horrible. Very basic hotel. Wouldn't recommend to my friends or family.

Parent’s night away from the kids. Comfy, clean and a great view on the 16th floor!

This is our second time staying at aloft. Had a great experience first time around so it was a no brainer to book again here. This time i was with the family celebrating my wifes bday. Checking in was an ok experience this time around. For some reason the machine did not register my card swipe and was asked to re swipe my card 3 times. I showed them that it went through on my card but I was guaranteed that it did not hit my account the first 2 swipes. Well, today i see 3 charges on my cc. Now i have to go to the hassle of dealing with the cc company to dispute the charges. Kinda disappointed on that part of the experience because i showed them on the spot that my card was charged but they insisted it did not go through. Other than that, everything was good. Location was perfect, room was clean. We stayed by a corner view option so it was a bit noisy with all the hustle and bustle outside, but its downtown, what do you expect. Service wise, cant really say anything because the only interaction we had was on check in.

Modern hotel. Appreciated the clean and quiet room with a comfy king bed. Liked the quality shower products, big windows and black-out shades. Enjoyed the pool table and games in the side lobby- especially helpful with kids and a little time to kill. The gym was also clean and had newer equipment. Was disappointed in the restaurant Beatrix’s breakfast. Ordered a cauliflower, Brussels sprout, and kale bowl served over grits and had 2 fried eggs on top. What I got was eggs and grits with 2 Brussels sprout leaves, one tiny tiny tiny cauliflower floret and no kale. If you’re out of the veg, just tell me and I’ll order something else! The grits were like glue and the eggs flavorless. Another family member ordered a burger and was told they don’t stock pickles?? Strange. Beatrix also adds a 3% “surcharge” to your bill with no explanation what it’s for. Overall we felt very ripped off by this sorely-lacking dining experience. With so many great places to eat in Chicago, we are kicking ourselves for choosing Beatrix.
