Jaslin Hotel

Visited Chicago with my family member for a few days, and enjoyed very much staying in this hotel. It is in a very good location with plenty choices of restaurants nearby. Room is clean and staff very helpful. A 10-min walk to the exhibition center and 3-min walk to CTA station. If you are finding a hotel in downtown area with reasonable price and excellent location, Jaslin is right for you.

No room to even drop off family infront of bldg. No breakfast for the price. It was a very nice hotel. Rooms are clean but small.

Check-in at the Jaslin was an absolute nightmare. I arrived for the funeral of a family member, and the check-in employee could not have been more rude and unaccomodating. She was quite rude and unpleasant in telling me that I could not check into the hotel early, even while admitting that many of their rooms were unoccupied. Fine... but she did not even offer to check my luggage when I asked to use their bathroom to change into my suit for the funeral. About that- the public bathroom for guests (which is behind a locked door that leads to the basement) had a simply disgusting smell of sewer. Worse still, the hotel itself always smelled slightly of sewage. Gross. Plus the interior is in need of updating, and there are zero amenities offered by the hotel. There are MUCH better hotel options nearby- well worth any additional cost imo.
