Homewood Suites by Hilton Chicago Downtown South Loop

We had a corner suite on the 19th floor with a city view that was amazing. I loved the windows so, so much. Our room was very clean, the staff were super friendly and helpful, and the free breakfast was really good. My kids enjoyed the pool, as well. Great location, we were able to walk or take the L to all of the places we wanted to go while we were in Chicago. Many restaurants within 5 minutes. Highly recommend this hotel!

The television in the bedroom did not work. We called maintenance and they tried to fix but said he was unable to so it would need to be fixed the next day. Being at a hotel with no working television, and no solution was not ideal, especially since we were traveling with kids. Also, not a fan of the hotel’s policy if our room was ready early, and we chose to check in then, we had to pay $25 fee. Seems a disservice to the guests to pay even more when a room is available and unused.

Good location for kids and dog. Bad management.

Our family of 5 just had a wonderful 6 night stay! Our corner suite was very clean. Giant floor to ceiling windows gave us wonderful views and entertained the 3 year old! Bathroom was spacious and extremely clean and shiny. Very comfortable beds. We were able to walk to Shedd Aquarium and Field Museum. Parking is valet only. I was very nervous about using valet parking , but the valet staff was friendly, quick, efficient, and our car was handled with care! In and out privileges was a big plus! Free breakfast was good! We only went to the pool once, but it was fun for our kids, small, but a great view! And a nice big hot tub too which was amazing! The front desk staff was very helpful and friendly. My only things to note are not complaints but just good things to know. The valet was full a few times when we returned. However, they assured us that we could park on the street right in front of the entrance and that they would pull our car in asap - which never took very long (bc we either came back to check or tracked with our hidden AirTag). Also, though there was a full kitchen in our corner suite, it only had a small table with one chair to sit down and eat at. We managed our door dash nights by having the kids take turns at the table and the grown ups ate on the couch or living room chair. All in all, a wonderful hotel that catered to all kinds of travelers - families, couples, business travelers, and concert goers. I would recommend this to anyone!

Sad to tell everyone I got stuck in their elevator that continued to go up and down for 20-30 minutes. Notified management right away so there's no elderly or kids to have the horrible scary experience I had. Management didn't even offer no compensation Anyways, glad to be alive but definitely wont be coming back to this hotel.

Great for walking to the shed aquarium. Front desk lady was not very welcoming and they did not regulate the pool area very well. Room was clean and great for families.

It was fairly busy because of Spring Break, but the staff went above and beyond to make sure everyone was taken care of and things flowed smoothly. The kids wished that there was a waffle maker, but if that is the only “complaint” then I think that’s pretty good!

Everything is in walkable distance. Great area for families want to use public transportation. Breakfast buffet was great. They allowed us early check in as we were traveling with kid.

I loved our stay! The location is wonderful and all of the amenities offered are top notch for a family trip. We had a great view as well. I wish the breakfast had more variety. It was eggs and potatoes every day and while it was made well, my kids only want pancakes for breakfast! Our floor had a very odd smell for most of our stay but it didn't ruin our stay since we were exploring the city most of our time. It was a great location and close to the museums and aquarium.
