Hampton Inn & Suites Pocatello

Upon arrival, check in was pleasant and easy. Room was clean with plenty of room for our family for 4 (2 adults, 2 kids). But the sound insulation was minimal and we could hear everything from water running to every footstep above us. In our case it was a large group with lots of little kids running back and forth, back and forth. It was like a horse race above our heads. We ended up going downstairs and asked to be moved but unfortunately they didn't have any more rooms with 2 queen beds. The hotel staff was apologetic and offered to comp our room since it was so bad, we ended up covering our heads with pillow till we fell asleep. The next morning I went to check out and because I purchased the room 3rd party, they couldn't comp the room and said in needed to go through Expedia. That is on my list to do now, as it was a disappointment to us. We intentional went with what we thought was a nicer hotel for a good nights rest.

Girl at desk (braids) was a super help. Room nice. Pool area need ventilation (strong chorline odor). Bed a bit unstable feel. Linens popped up on corners at night. All was good except noise from above. Ordinarily wouldn't be trouble/ but kids hitting floor with feet (off beds?) until midnight and how many times can people move furniture around?! Problem was it could be heard at all--poor acoustic insulation. Condition of place and breakfast a cut above Best Westerns, Holiday Inns, Ramadas and of course, Days and Super 8s, etc that I've been to.
