Outrigger Reef Waikiki Beach Resort

My sister booked this trip so that my family could all spend some time together since we live in different places and I was recently diagnosed with terminal metastatic cancer. There were 24 of us total. Overall our stay was fine. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The hotel itself is nice, but there were some unexpected fees that were not disclosed on hotels.com for $50 dollars a day to be forced to valet your car and no self parking. We had not been here before so we were shocked at this cost. I recently stopped working because I’m terminally ill and we didn’t budget for this and it stressed us out. The woman checking us in was rude and condescending when we tried to find a way to not incur this cost. Which was demeaning and unnecessary. The housekeeping was wonderful, and most of the staff was lovely EXCEPT for that front desk clerk who literally continued to treat me and my family like we were second class citizens, her behavior toward my family was very discriminatory. She inappropriately SCOLDED my sister in the voyager dining area for using a vape which I understand although I think this could have been handled WAY more professionally; but after this she started harassing my sister, telling her twice, that she couldn’t eat in one of the areas because it’s occupied, but it was occupied by the rest of my family. And she continued to police my party the rest of our stay. I have never been treated like this ANYWHERE I’ve ever been in my life. None of us will be back.

This hotel and its staff are absolutely exceptional!! Frank at the front desk made us feel so comfortable and almost like family. They have a special way of making you feel like you’re the only guest in the resort. What a fantastic experience! The hotel is right on the beach, close to all of the shops and restaurants. It’s paradise!

This resort could not be better. We felt welcome and like family from the time we arrived until we left.

We loved our stay at the Outrigger Reef. It was conveniently located and the staff were friendly. We used the valet and never had to wait more than 5 minutes for our vehicle. Our family really enjoyed the cultural activities (we got to make two types of bracelets and to take a hula lesson). The pool was nice and my kids enjoyed that pool noodles were available to use as they are not super comfortable in the water. The 2 free reusable water bottles and a water bottle filling station by the lobby was also an appreciated feature. We would happily stay here again.

My family and I had a fantastic time here and would recommend the property to any and all.

This was a great family friendly resort! Restaurant options, pool, beach, and excursions were easily accessible and the surrounding area!

This is our favorite resort on Waikiki! Staff is so friendly and it’s a hidden gem with a baby beach right outside the property.

Our kids really enjoyed the pool and the beach as you walk out the back staff is very friendly
