Excellent hotel but disappointing level of service especially by concierge desk. We travelled as a family and I wouldn’t recommend booking this hotel if travelling with children. We were given poor or incorrect information about activities in the area particularly over Halloween. Felt fobbed off by management after I gave feedback.

I stayed at Halekulani with my mom and my daughter who's 5, and we loved this place. There is no kids club which was the only downside for us but other than that we enjoyed the pool, the proximity to the beach, shopping and dinning. This place has 3 restaurants with amazing food. Overall, amazing experience!

We spent 5 days/4 nights over Christmas at Halekulani and were treated like family from the moment we stepped foot on the airy and luscious property. Reception staff was warm and professional. Throughout our stay, the resort staff showed very thoughtful considerations like leaving little gifts at turndown and laying out our toiletries on a leather pad when they saw that we created makeshift ones using face towels. On the mornings of Christmas Eve and Christmas, we were delighted by the voices of the staff singing Christmas carols in the beautiful and well-manicured garden. The resort will not overwhelm you like many other resorts in Waikiki. It is calm, serene, and most definitely luxurious. A special place in central Waikiki and we will return.

We spent our honeymoon at the Halekulani and it was just fabulous. I've stayed at several other hotels in Waikiki and this by far was the best. The location is fantastic - right in the heart of the shopping strip but also right on the beach. It's more exclusive, slightly private and quieter than even its closest neighbouring hotels, such as the Outrigger and Sheraton, which have a very busy Club-Med vibe. Although all Hawaiian hotels seem to be child friendly, I was pleasantly surprised not to see children running wild around the grounds. The hotel staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. We received sweet little gifts from the hotel each day too. We were greeted with champagne and a fruit platter to welcome us on our honeymoon and when we had a slight glitch with the car we hired through the hotel, they refunded us $100 and sent us wine and a generous cheese platter. The rooms are some of the most modern you'll find in Waikiki. Decent size and always immaculately cleaned. The breakfast buffet was amazing. So much variety and it wasn't always the same each morning. The only fault would be that this hotel is very pricey. I was happy to splurge on our accommodation since it was our honeymoon, but otherwise it's very expensive. I suppose you get what you pay for though! I'd absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone.

We had a wonderful moment with my family. They could handle Japanese as well and could swiftly handle any requests with easy. Definitely we recommend to friends for family travel or just enjoying a breeze of Waikiki. We especially loved yoga class and beach pool so much ! For all day in room dining we would be happy to have Japanese and Chinese cuisine as well !
