Mansion on Forsyth Park

Amazing hotel and service. Exceptionally good with kids!

This hotel is brand new. We truly enjoyed the aesthetics of the hotel and how kid-friendly it is. The pool area and its staff are amazing. Unfortunately, we had 2 experiences that we feel are unacceptable in a hotel of this quality. First of all, my wife didn’t have dinner on our last night because they lost/forget her in-room dinning order twice. When I told the reception, they were aware of their communications issues with the kitchen. Then, when we left, we had to wait 30 minutes for the valet because they all needed, and I quote them, “to be available to accommodate two VIPs”. It’s only when I told them to give my car key back so I can pick up my car myself that they reacted. Obviously, it’s insulting that a hotel like this would treat its guest differently and accordingly to its perception of their status. To summarize, our global appreciation of this hotel is that it charges you among Savannah’s top rate without offering the service quality that should come with it. I hope they fix this because it’s a beautiful place with friendly staff. They are just not ready yet.

Beautiful and peaceful hotel, especially the pool area. Staff is really friendly and helpful. Ryan, the concierge was outstanding in terms of helping our family celebrate our special occasion at the hotel. Room overlooking the pool area was very nice and tranquil. Sleeping with the French doors open to the warm Savannah summer evening was wonderful, with no issues with outside noise or bugs. The hotel being far away from waterfront area and close to Forsyth Park was a real plus for us. Overall, a perfect experience that I would strongly recommend. The new Hotel Bardo is definitely my preferred choice from now on in Savannah.

We stayed at the Mansion due to a side trip to Savannah for a family wedding. We wanted to stay somewhere that had the flavor of the town. This hotel had all the unique features we hope for, and with the comforts you would expect from a higher end hotel chain. I would definitely stay there again!
