We had an incredible stay at Homewood Suites in Savannah! The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, especially with my kids. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful, which made for a perfect start to our mornings and was included in our stay. The service at the breakfast was fantastic, with a waitress who always greeted us with a smile. The location was ideal for us as we needed to be near the Savannah Convention Center, and being steps away from the Ferry meant we parked our car for the weekend and didn’t need it again. The rooftop pool was one of the best hotel pools we’ve ever enjoyed, offering privacy away from the city streets. The pool bar served fabulous drinks and tasty food options, including a kids' menu, and provided pool towels, which was very convenient. Overall, this was one of our favorite weekend getaways, and we can’t wait to come back!

We attempted to check in early on Monday. No accommodations were made other than wanting to charge us an additional $25 dollars for checking in early. So, our family left our car with the valet and walked around about 3 hours in town and came back and our room was still not an available at 3:45. We asked if there was another room available and finally we were able to check in. The first night we were there we noticed there was updates being made to the workout space a floor above us, as we prepared for sleep we noticed noise on the floor above us and we had to call the front desk at 11:23 to ask if they could stop and shortly after the noise stopped. Day 2 we came back from walking around town, very tired and wanting to just relax, after we took a break in our room we went out for dinner and we walked to the elevator and come to find the elevators were not working, we walked down 7 flights of stairs hoping that when we returned it would be back in order, luckily it was. That same night we go to bed and hear the tapping again from construction above us and it finally stopped around 11:00 and started again at 6:15 in the morning. Usually we are very understanding of upgrades being made but the staff was not accommodating and the constant noise was ridiculous. We will not return to this particular hotel.

Great hotel for families! Awesome rooftop area with pool and TVs. They don’t advertise this enough! Only issue we had was there were two elevators, one was down all the time and the other was so busy or out of use.

The property itself is nice however the staff was not overly friendly nor are some of the amenities. It was too cold to swim so perhaps I wouldn't be as irritated if I was able to use the pool. #1 the ONLY parking option is $45 per day valet. Street parking and parking garage are options in town however, it's a far walk, especially with all the construction around the hotel and with a small baby in 40 degree weather. I also asked if we could check in an hour early if our room was available and I was informed if it is available it'll be a $25 charge to check in early. Lastly, a crib was requested at the time of booking, it was then requested again at check-in at 4 and then again at 530. Bedtime for our 9 month old is 630 so we gave up and put him to sleep in our bed, the crib arrived around 730. Just overall not happy with our short trip and will not be back. Beautiful property though and very clean the breakfast was also good, so if those items don't turn you away I'd recommend the property.

We had a wonderful stay here with our family. We loved the rooftop bar add the River Street location. It’s walkable distance to many restaurants and shops. The breakfast was delicious too! It’s our second time staying here, & we will be back!

We travel a lot as a family, and have never been treated with such disrespect! When checking out we were charged a pet fee. I was told that was for the brown dog that we own. Despite me stating repeatedly that we don't have a dog, the front staff repeatedly insisted that we have a dog, blatantly calling me a liar. Upon several rounds of arguments it became apparent that my kids got in the elevator with another guest staying on the same floor and that was enough evidence to conclude that we were the owners of that dog. Eventually we were refunded the pet fee along with the car park fee (we were charged for the whole 4-night stay despite leaving the car at the hotel only for the first night). However, our moods were ruined for several hours afterwards. Front desk staff needs to be trained on how to treat their customers with respect and not call them liars and cheaters! And based on what? Our stay otherwise was pretty comfortable (pull out sofa was of course not the best), so it is a shame the whole experience was ruined at check out! Oh, the hotel staff was also not able to find my reservation when I called to inform about our late arrival. I needed to have hotels.com sort it out and help them find my reservation. That's when we were getting ready to leave for our 9 hour drive! The breakfast was awesome as was the staff taking care of that area, which is why I give 2 stars for service. Needless to say though, we will look for other places to stay next time we visit Savannah.

Quick trip with my kids and I was disappointed. The room smelled like smoke , the bathroom looked like it was barely cleaned . For the price of the room I expected more .
