place was great. location, paid for parking but lot is attached, big plus for Savanna, free breakfast, beer/wine, appetizer 5:30to 7, room was clean and nicely set up. All that was excellent but the staff was the best. Very friendly and took pride in everything. I wonder if its family run it was that good. Will definitely be back. Tip: drove to Tybee Island and had lunch at the Crab Shack. Was totally worth the trip.

This place smelt of mold. When I went to ask about it, she gave me a different room which smelt even worse. After going to the manager, Tina, about my concerns because my child has a breathing problem, she said she refused to give me a refund because “the rooms don’t smell bad” in which I asked if she could go check it out and she replied “I’m good”. I couldn’t believe my ears. She disregarded my concerns and I was out 250$ and could not, in good conscience, keep my kids there. Hopefully this review helps someone else.

The front desk staff was exceptional very warm and welcoming. Acknowledge me and my child as we left, and as we returned, this is my second visit there, and I will always stay there.

We thought we had booked a king sized bed on hotel.com but we got two double beds. We were told that hotels.com just makes the request for a king sized bed and they were sold out of king beds for the long weekend. Then the breakfast was average. The 2nd day the eggs had some chopped filling, when I asked the front desk what it was I was told it was cheese. As a vegetarian I was Leary as it was colorful and did not look like cheese. We went out to breakfast. The third morning. The same omlets were on the buffet but they said they were filled with ham and cheese. My final issue was the family with crying babies that were staying in the room below us. It was like they were in our room with us. The sound transferred like nothing I have ever experienced. Maybe because it is a historic building? The location was awesome and the beds were comfortable….the rest not so much.

We were with a 14-month-old baby but there were no carts available to move luggage from the entrance or exit to the room

Fantastic location and fantastic staff. We visited Savannah on a friends trip without spouses or kids and would absolutely return with or without family. Perfect hotel for a family, friend, or business trip. WiFi was the best I’ve had at a hotel, which is quite surprising considering the excellent insulation and thick walls throughout. It’s actually two historic buildings combined and has been remodeled and maintained.
Parking was a breeze! If you’re looking at downtown Savannah hotels you can clearly see why I’m mentioning this! Parking is incredibly expensive at the downtown hotels. I purchased parking with my hotel through hotels.com and paid $17 a day. The garage they use is $26 a day (if you don’t prepay) and they give you a QR code upon check-in that you can use for in and out privileges your entire stay. The garage is less than a block away and very well lit. I was impressed!
However, you don’t even need a car with this location. We walked to the majority of our stops and could have easily made our 4 night stay work without a car had we flown in. Tons to do and eat within blocks.
Breakfast and an evening happy hour was free daily and there was a little spot for any necessities right next to the desk. Lots of open space and beautiful windows where you could eat.
I would absolutely stay here again!

We will definitely stay here again. The staff is super friendly, the rooms were nice and clean, the beds were really comfortable, breakfast was great and they had a social time Monday through Wednesday with appetizers and drinks for the family. It was centrally located and walkable to everything. The only downsize (if I had to pick some) were a few glitches with the parking garage, they never seemed to have enough washcloths and the luggage carts were small but not that big of a deal with those.

We were transferred 3 times to different rooms. The first two had cockroach infestation. Eggs and baby roaches combined. We were forced to stay because expedia said we cannot get a refund due to just roaches. They gave us extra points. It was disgusting at that place. The carpet was filthy. The bed skirts were dirty. All the kitchen facilities in the hotel room were old and run down. The “complimentary” washing machine had only one machine working. We had to literally pick-up dripping wet laundry. No one was maintaining it. The 2nd room that they asked us to go to smelled of baygon. Expedia should be aware that roaches can make people sick. So transfer of a hotel would have been more acceptable. This is the most disgusting place I stayed at for approximately $200 per night.

We checked in through the phone because we were arriving shortly after 2 am. We had trouble getting in as we buzzed & knocked several times before someone answered the phone to let us in. She gave us a pet room even though we didn't have animals (floors 1 & 2) which faced the parking lot. She said we were preassigned because of here. She also told us that parking on Sundays is free behind the hotel & in the Lincoln lot, but because we prebooked we were charged $15 that couldn't be refunded. Normally, parking is $25, but it was a discount through here even though it ended up being wasted. The room was dirty, but thankfully didn't smell like dogs. The shutters had blood on them, the sheets smelled stale, & we had to ask for more towels even though we requested them when booking. They only have king beds in the single rooms, or double or twin beds in the 2 bed rooms which we failed to notice, so 4 of us squeezed into 2 child size double beds. At least the beds & pillows were comfortable. The room was tiny & we kept bumping into each other. The pictures online make it seem larger than it really is. 2 people cannot stand in the bathroom at the same time. They also had a lack of trashcans in your room. The toilets clogged easily, so be warned. Early the next morning the construction crew arrived to work on the building across the street, but parked their noisy truck outside our window. The breakfast was free & there were options, but all tasted bad. Receptionist was the only nice p
