Hampton Inn Savannah-Historic District

It was the perfect property for our family vacation. Our daughter is 34 and in a wheelchair and it was easy to take her in and out.

My family stay was a little above average. The biggest issue was the hotel had only one operating elevator and 2 luggage trollies for the entire hotel. We waited approximately 7 minutes for the elevator from the ground floor to the 4th floor. And had to go up to get down. Not good.

The room, roof pool, and breakfast were very good. The elevator was down and only 1 was working so wait times were long and you couldn’t realistically use the stairs to 7th floor with suitcases and kids. Also, I forgot an item in my hotel bathroom and they reported that the item had not been located which is hard to believe. It was hanging in the restroom so my assumption is that it was taken by staff and not turned in.

I have been coming to this specific Hampton Inn for years. This experience was sadly disappointing. The pool was closed (which is a large reason I booked this hotel) and there was no compensation or upgrade for this lack of amenity when asked. The room itself was not recently vacuumed (visible dirt and debris) and I found a pill from a prior guest on the floor that when looked up was a AN1 pill, a breast cancer pill, (thank god a child or dog didn’t find it before I did). The toilet had a prior substance on it which who knows what that was. There was hair in the bathroom and spots of mold on the bathroom walls. There is a large homeless presence at the square right next to the hotel. Not the hotels fault, but something to consider. The breakfast staff is wonderful and very attentive.

If I could give it negative stars I would. Locked out of the bathroom, took hours just to get someone up there and longer to fix. Thankfully one of the infants wasn't locked in there. Left a mess after repair and no house keeping during our stay.

Our semi annual night over coming and going to visit family/children. Consistently very good and reasonable.

We only had a half of roll of toilet paper and no tissues in the tissue box I ask for these items but did not receive them When we checked out I informed the front desk and his excuse was that it’s a holiday weekend Really o toilet paper seriously 😳 Are neighbors had 4 kids in the room and they were not quiet

We have stayed at this property for several Thanksgiving holiday weekends. The staff is always welcoming, attentive, and friendly. The room and lobby updates were a welcome surprise. Perfect location for our family.

The room was clean and the recent remodel was completed tastefully. Very convenient to the River and Historic District. Would recommend to friends and family. Now the bad what I noticed during the stay No exhaust fan in bathroom area Did have a sewer/waste smell in the common hallway in the AM mostly. Bathroom sink drain stopper not working This is a simple fix using plyers to tight a set screw on plunger arm.

We booked multiple rooms to visit family during thanksgiving weekend. Great location, professional and friendly staff. Also convenient gathering spaces.
