Hampton Inn Savannah-Historic District

My family stay was a little above average. The biggest issue was the hotel had only one operating elevator and 2 luggage trollies for the entire hotel. We waited approximately 7 minutes for the elevator from the ground floor to the 4th floor. And had to go up to get down. Not good.

I have been coming to this specific Hampton Inn for years. This experience was sadly disappointing. The pool was closed (which is a large reason I booked this hotel) and there was no compensation or upgrade for this lack of amenity when asked. The room itself was not recently vacuumed (visible dirt and debris) and I found a pill from a prior guest on the floor that when looked up was a AN1 pill, a breast cancer pill, (thank god a child or dog didn’t find it before I did). The toilet had a prior substance on it which who knows what that was. There was hair in the bathroom and spots of mold on the bathroom walls. There is a large homeless presence at the square right next to the hotel. Not the hotels fault, but something to consider. The breakfast staff is wonderful and very attentive.

If I could give it negative stars I would. Locked out of the bathroom, took hours just to get someone up there and longer to fix. Thankfully one of the infants wasn't locked in there. Left a mess after repair and no house keeping during our stay.

Our semi annual night over coming and going to visit family/children. Consistently very good and reasonable.

We only had a half of roll of toilet paper and no tissues in the tissue box I ask for these items but did not receive them When we checked out I informed the front desk and his excuse was that it’s a holiday weekend Really o toilet paper seriously 😳 Are neighbors had 4 kids in the room and they were not quiet

We have stayed at this property for several Thanksgiving holiday weekends. The staff is always welcoming, attentive, and friendly. The room and lobby updates were a welcome surprise. Perfect location for our family.

The room was clean and the recent remodel was completed tastefully. Very convenient to the River and Historic District. Would recommend to friends and family. Now the bad what I noticed during the stay No exhaust fan in bathroom area Did have a sewer/waste smell in the common hallway in the AM mostly. Bathroom sink drain stopper not working This is a simple fix using plyers to tight a set screw on plunger arm.

We booked multiple rooms to visit family during thanksgiving weekend. Great location, professional and friendly staff. Also convenient gathering spaces.

I have stayed here for 2 years in a row and really liked it last year. This year not as much. When we arrived 1 of the 2 elevators wasn't working. We dropped 1 of our people at their room on the 2nd floor and then could not get the 1 elevator that was working to get to our floor on the 3rd with the bell cart. It was always full. I waited over 45 minutes and finally sent my kids 1 at a time, 1 bag at a time up and down to get all our luggage to our room. There were no carts upon checkout either. Apparently there are only 2 or 3 for the entire hotel. We once again had to make multiple trips with the kids to get all our luggage downstairs to load in the car. The staff and location are great!

For a Hilton property, I expected lot more up keep. Room and hallways had stains on the carpet. My room was not clean. The furniture was worn and there was rust in the shower from the shower bar. The elevators were worn out looking and one had broke down during half my stay. I used to work for Hilton and I know this would not up to Hilton standards for a property. It needs some investment to bring it back. Staff was nice and location is excellent. My family made the best of it and had a good time there in Savanna. I wouldn’t recommend the Inn until you all put some investment back into it.
