Comfort Inn & Suites Tavares North

My family arrived a little after midnight. Checked in, got to the room, it was very damp feeling and had a strange smell. The hotel had an industrial fan in the room. When I called the front desk I was told the carpet had just been cleaned that is why it was still damp. The following day the carpet was soaking wet in front of the a/c unit. I reached out to the front desk and they advised the carpet had not been cleaned, that room had a/c issues. They asked when we were checking out and I stated the next morning. They never once offered to move us to another room, they only offered to bring another fan. It was already so loud with the a/c unit running and the fan, you couldn’t hear the tv. I had to wash a load of laundry and one of the dryers worked but put out no heat. There was no sign on the dryer that it was not working properly. So I paid to dry my clothes in a dryer that didn’t heat. So I had to transfer my clothes to the other dryer that actually worked and pay more money for that. Very very disappointed in this hotel. My family will not be back and I will not recommend this location to anyone.

We stayed in a suit that had two queen beds and a pull-out sofa bed. It was perfect for my family of four (including two teenagers).

If you value safety for you and your family I would not recommend this property to anybody I rented for 2 days left after the first day terrible terrible terrible

We met family from all over the state to come to Tavares for a funeral. Everything was clean. Breakfast was very good. A little bit of everything. Beds were not as comfortable as we were hoping but we were fine.

Good place to stay while visiting family.

Hotel was convenient to the family we were visiting and easy to find. The breakfast was okay with several options of cold and hot items. Unfortunately, this room was not the cleanest, sheets did not fit the bed, small and uncomfortable pillows, bathroom shower had a horrible design.

Spent Christmas Eve and Christmas morning with my children. It was great having breakfast and so many options to choose from convenient laundry service right there if needed it little ones things happen super comfort family fun loved it.

The service was great the ladies who worked at the front desk were very helpful in trying to accommodate me and my family… The condition of the hotel outside will deceive you because once in the rooms they smell wet, Smokey or like someone had just painted…. We were originally there for 2 nights but checked out the next morning we would’ve left that night we checked in but it was late and we were traveling with children and our parents… 10/10 WOULD NOT RECOMMEND .. We were told the hotel was newer.. it looks great outside and even in the lobby but the rooms are trash the bed was ok…

The room was spacious. Could have been vacuumed better, as I kept stepping on debris that was not picked up. It’s seems like bring your kid to work day..every day. I had to go to the front desk and they had the be back sign up but the phone number to call if you need immediate assistance. But that phone number goes right to the front desk so what is the point of having that on the sign. Then a couple of kids ran over in asking if we needed anything and that they would let the front desk lady know..why are kids behind the front desk of a hotel? They lets the kids run around the halls of the hotel at 11pm, slamming doors.

I came for a family emergency. I arrived late at night and was greeted cheerfully.I had to extend my stay and the staff was very helpful and accomodating. The breakfast was delicious and had a lot of variety to nourish us before stressful days. I felt safe in the neighborhood and refreshed each night. Thank you for your hospitality!
