Best Western Plus Chain of Lakes Inn & Suites

Wonderful place to stay with family….

Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. Room was clean and beds were comfortable. Window was nasty with something smeared all over the inside which I was reluctant to touch. Toilet backed up. Easily remedied when they supplied me with a plunger. Since we were in town overnight for a family funeral, the toilet issue was worrisome but remedied. I was given a partial credit for inconvenience.

Very friendly and helpful staff! Loved the decor. Breakfast bar was nice and plentiful - just wish the hours were a little different (7 to 10 on Christmas Day and 6 to 9 on weekdays); I was a little rushed getting up at 8 AM to get breakfast, but it was very tasty. Close to my family. Liked the exercise room.

I was in the area for a family birthday party. The stay at the BEST WESTERN Chain of Lakes Inn & Suites was great.

Very disappointed with interaction with the front desk. We did not even check-in. We had a very late check-in as we had just got done visiting our great-grandfather, who is 91 years old, and we hoped to enjoy our next morning with him again. We were with our two children and our dog. They asked if I had a pet, and I said yes. They asked how much does he weight, and I said "uhm, I would say about 40 lbs". They rapidly responded that "oh we can't check you in". I was like, "Are you serious?" Apparently, they have a 20 lbs limit but I told them I have NEVER had issues with hotels that said "pet friendly". They said we should call prior to find out because we booked through a third-vendor. I was disappointed that they couldn't make an exemption because we were clearly unaware of this new rule and our children were very tired. We left because my husband got in a discussion with them and just to find out that they would accept a 25 lbs dog? They rules are not set & stone but apparently for us it was. No consideration what so ever. We drove 3+ hours home and we did not get to spend out next morning with great-grandpa. We is flying back home and we hope to see him in Christmas (We pray we do).
