World Golf Village Renaissance St. Augustine Resort

I was extremely disappointed, the room wreaked like smoke. I asked for a second set of sheets for the pull out sofa because they smelt of mildew. It took over an hour to get those sheets. I was given an attitude by the house keeping employee stating "your current sheets are clean, this is a waste of my time to have to come up here." I was shocked and didn't know how to respond. I love the area and my family lives close by. I wished this wasn't my experience but it was. $350 for one night and be treated that way is unacceptable. This hotel will not be getting any more of my money. I would hope they would contact me to make things right.

We booked this stay for our daughter’s birthday. When we got in the room as soon as one of the kids took a shower, an awful smell of sewage came over the room. After the smell started, I called the front desk and was told the clerk was checking in another guest and she would call me back. I waited 20 mins with no call back so I went to the front desk and there was no one in site. I had to wait about 10-15 mins for someone to come to the front desk and then we finally got into a new room. The new room was severely out dated and needed a lot of work; wall paper was peeling off the walls in several places. The only good thing about this hotel was the bed was nice and it slept well and the breakfast was good; the person that checked us in at the beginning and our waitress for breakfast gave good customer service as well. This was definitely not worth the price we paid for a king suite and I was terribly disappointed in the stay and service.

The staff at this hotel are the best we’ve encountered so far on our trip. Friendly and helpful, everyone of them. Check-in was a breeze. The grounds and amenities here are superb. My boys loved the large gym, pool table and Golden Tee game, while the whole family loved the pool and hot tub area. Only two negatives I have are that our suite was pretty damp. The carpet actually felt a little wet under our feet and could benefit from a dehumidifier. Also, the pull out couch bed was very dirty with food crumbs and stains on it when we pulled it out. Overall though, we’d come back here for sure.

This is a great location. I will come back with my family.

It was a very hotel lots of activities/games to keep the kids entertained. The only complaint I have is the bed was not at all comfortable nor the pillows. Other that I love everything about this hotel. Very friendly staff.
