Best Western Historical Inn

Great stay with the family. Comfortable rooms and clean property.

My family and I stayed here for two nights. Check in was easy and quick. Staff was super friendly. Parking is $10 and fills up quickly. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. We only needed a place to sleep and shower since we were out and about and this was a good choice for that. The only negative thing is that the AC in the room wasn't the best.

Property is conveniently located and very close to all the attractions. It is safe with a lot of families with young children staying at this property. The free breakfast is great! We got an early check in and late checkout which we appreciate. Two EV charging stations at the property were a major plus for us. The only negative point is the door to the bathroom is a barn door and is not comfortable when you are sharing the room with others. Overall our stay was very convenient and the staff were very nice.

This is a decent motel. The floor in our unit room was pretty dirty (my kids feet were black after walking around barefoot for a few minutes). If the toilet didn't flush "just right" it would keep making the flushing sound until you flushed again. Beds were reasonably comfortable. Free breakfast was great. It costs $10 per day to park, which is reasonable, but I don't remember seeing this when I booked, so I was a little bent out of shape when I was told this at check in. Great location minutes from downtown, but I wouldn't really call it walking distance to attractions like the advertising lead me to believe. Overall decent motel.

It was a packed hotel. My biggest issue was with other guests not being able to control their children. There was a lot of midnight noise outside our room. It sounded like a game of tag with a bunch of tweens. On the upside, the staff was genuine and very helpful. I even had to get help from the maintenance guy to take me to Auto Zone to replace a dead battery. He was awesome!

Decent for what you pay for it, you can hear your neighboring room as if they are in your room with you. Also it’s definitely more for families possibly. Not a good place if you’re on a romantic little getaway or for business.

We were kind of skeptical about staying here because of the mixed reviews. I am glad we tried it out! There were a few hiccups, but the staff were there to figure it out. I would recommend this hotel to anyone with children and/or pets. It was clean, friendly, safe, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. Thank you for making out trip to St. Augustine great. They are also close to everything!

I checked this out due to the reviews and the price. Unfortunately, I didn't find it to the be the level others had. That said, some of the good points: Everything in St. Augustine old town is so expensive-this was a great value option within a 5 minute drive; dog friendly; solid updated rooms and bathroom, basic breakfast included. Downsides: Arrived 10 minutes after check in was available and they told me to come back in 20 minutes so they could get the room ready. Not terrible, but we worked our schedule, after a long drive, so we'd arrive at check in. The first night we were woke up to cats fighting nearby, both mornings by the clanging of the work done at the auto repair shop behind the building. Don't know what you can do about it, but it was a bummer as we were on vacation. The garbage cans neary the back stairwell were full the entire 3 days we were there-easily fixed, but may have led to the cats being there. Light in the stairwell was literally a light you might have installed in your dining room put on its side and slapped on the wall. Staff was mildly indifferent, but nice. Easily fixed. I won't stay here again, but, if you have a family, and want to save $ to spend on non room costs, this is a good option near the old town.
