The hotel is under construction / renovation but no one botthered to let us know that before we booked. The first room had screaming kids across the hall, so we moved. This floor had all the floors pulled up and molding pulled up - so looked very bad. There was no water in the room for half the day. The coffee maker was broken. The TV remote was taped together. We thought we would try Holiday Inn but this is really not what we expected from this classic brand.

Our family of stayed to attend the Night of lights for the holidays. We had one of the newly renovated rooms. It was very clean and comfortable for our family of 5. A 20 minute walk to the historic area. Would stay here again.

We had one night stay in St Augustine and had a terrible experience at the Holiday Inn. The beds made so much noise we were all afraid to move all night and that's not so easy when you traveling as a family (family of 5, 3 kids). Carpet was worn, bathroom needed a desperate upgrade and the elevator was so shaky it made us nervous using it. It's shame that they don't improve this hotel with such a great location for the price that they charge.

We rented this hotel for our family of 6, we got to the hotel tired after driving 6 hrs., the hotel, night worker wasn't friendly. When we went upstairs to our room and opened the sofa bed, there was no linen nor pillows, we called the front desk several times, after 10 minutes, finally somebody picked up the phone. When I requested the linen and pillows, I was told I must go to the desk and pick it up myself. Terrible customer service. Also, the sofa bed was awful, the coils were sounding all night, and the mattress was flat like a sheet. Very disappointed and it wasn't a cheap hotel, when I paid over $200 for the night.

Loved our stay. The room and the premises were always clean. The hotel is close to St. George street and a very short walk to the fountain of youth. I would say 20 minute walk to St. George street if you’re walking slowly and enjoying the surrounding areas. The area is safe for tourists and especially families traveling with kids. We loved st. Augustine and hope to be back to this hotel in the summer. Highly recommend.

Communication with the hotel was extremely disappointing. They tell you one thing and do another. I called the hotel before we arrived to make sure I had everything in order. When we arrived I was told something entirely different at check in making it extremely irritating for our family. Thank goodness I had a credit card. They put a pre authorization on my debit card and credit card so the money was tied up for those that don’t have tons of money in the bank to be held. To me, staff is everything, as a business owner myself no matter the amenities. Just wasn’t up to par in my opinion.

It was disappointing to find a living roach in our room. We video recorded it before killing it. We wonder since when it was around as we left our baby stuff on the counter. It was disgusting.

Overall our family of 5 stay was great. There was only two downsides which were the beds were not that comfortable and the water pressure was low. BUT this did not hinder our stay. Our family had a great time and despite the 2 downsides would definitely stay here again.

Got in late . Pullout couch mattress was nasty. No mattress pad. We got a suite because we needed the extra sleep space. Ended up adults sleeping with adult children. Complained in the morning at checkout...no offer of any sort of compensation. Very disappointed.

The staff members were amazing and made the check-in process so smooth. One staff member showed me where the "overflow" parking was located for another family member since only 1 parking pass is provided (Full). Our room was clean accommodating. The staff at the bar were friendly, knowledgeable of the area and professional. Overall, a great place to stay!
