Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Saint Augustine North, an IHG Hotel

It weas a quick overnight stay as we were doing a family road trip. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Typical Holiday-Inn-staff made the difference.

This was a layover stop on a family vacation so we were only here for one night. However, I would definitely stay at this hotel again. There were good restaurants/fast food around the area- some even within walking distance. The young man at the front desk was incredibly nice and attentive. We had a great experience here.

This place is very outdated. And the room smells so bad. I drove 4 hrs with my family with 2 toddlers my room wasnt ready on time. Took another 45 minutes past the check in time to get the room ready. And the room smells horrible. However the staff was very friendly and understandable of the conditions. Breakfast was really great. TV service went down on the last day of my stay. I will not stay in this place again.

We checked in and got up to the room to find it was occupied. The manager on duty didn’t believe us and went up to presumably verify occupancy for himself. 30 minutes later, for family of 6, we were offered a Queen bed and a rollaway cot. No other accommodations or compensation for the gross error. Not even a discount on our booking! We made reservations elsewhere and will not be back.

Upon arrival the bed had hairs from previous guest or housekeeping staff. I asked Andrew at the front desk to please had someone change our sheets but upon our return they were the same sheets. The sofa bed didnt had any beddings i went back to the front desk around 8pm and the gentleman said we dont have any at the front desk so my kids ended up sleeping without sheets. Completely unacceptable from the conditions of the room to the customer service from the staff..I have pictures and i will be sharing it.

I was very disappointed in our stay. First off, checking in was slow and disorganized. The lady in front of me got checked into a room already occupied. Second the laundry and gym where out of service. Our room was not properly cleaned, found dust on walls, no extra bed sheets and pillows for pull out couch, and trash on floor. Ceiling was poorly patched and the room smelled musty. Breakfast was terrible. Watery eggs, pancake maker broken, no sugar for coffee, but area seemed cleaned. Evening time coming back to the room, the front desk person was outside smoking and hanging out with friends (didnt smell like cigarettes). Very unprofessional. Our room was half cleaned during our stay, only one bed was made and towls replaced. I personally would not stay at this hotel in the future with my family.

The pool was closed and we weren’t notified. I think we should receive full or partial refund. We had four kids with us and they brought their swimsuits for the pool. It was closed. Out of order.

At check in I was not greeted by the front desk attendant. After having driven 10 hours I walked in to the lobby to check in and he looked at me and simple said "I need your card". Great customer service-not! Then we got to the room and the key card did not work to open the door so I had to go all the way back downstairs with my kids and our luggage to get a new key card made. Breakfast was not that great. They were out of most foods and the breakfast attendant was hiding in the back room. Someone had to go in the room to ask for more food to be refilled. Overall not a good vibe. I have stayed at other Holiday Inn Expresses and they had great customer service and top notch breakfast. This one just did not meet my expectations. No hot pancake machine or waffle maker. Just muffins, cinnamon rolls, yogurt, fruits and some questionable eggs.

Great early breakfast for kids. Very clean hotel!

Water heater was down upon arrival but was fixed next day just in time for hard freeze that night, but even then the water wasn't as warm as desired. Great complementary Breakfast. Staff was friendly. Price was decent. Suite Rooms were a little run down but very spacious as expected. Not the best of stays for me and family but location was ideal for shopping, interstate travel to other places, and just staying the night.
