Aloft Jacksonville Airport

Beautiful hotel with very great customer service! Every person was friendly and professional and our stay was great! Great location near the airport and many stores and restaurants too! Great for solo travel, couples, families. My kids loved the hotel and the board games and pool table in the lobby made it super fun for them!

Wonderful stay. Convenient shuttle to/from the airport. Staff were friendly. Common area in the lobby has games and a bar to enjoy in the evening. Pool is heated (probably 82 degrees but it is DEFINITELY heated and our children loved it).

I was here for a one night stay before an early flight home because the air conditioning was out at my daughter's house. I arrived around 6:30pm in hopes of getting some sleep. My first impression was that the check in situation is weird. I've never seen a check in line that forms in the middle of the entrance. There has to be a better plan for this. There were people in front of and behind me, so I know it wasn't just me. Check in was quick and I was on my way to my room in about 10 minutes. The room was very nice, but does have some areas that seem a bit worn like the floor tiles in the bathroom. There were minor cleanliness issues, but that always makes me think there are other things I don't see. I came here to sleep and that didn't happen. There was a dog on my floor that barked off and on from 8:30-10:30 and then started back up a little after 2am. From 10:30-11:30 there were children running and screaming in the halls. I know the hotel can't control much of this, but it would make me rethink staying in a pet friendly hotel again, although the front desk staff did address the dog issue as soon as I called down after the 2am issue. The 24 hour shuttle to the airport was a huge plus, as was the fact that I felt safe as a solo female traveler in the area and in the hotel.

This was not a great looking property. It was slightly run down and not very family friendly. Thankfully only stayed there one night.

My check in was not what I thought it would be. I reserved two rooms under the same reservation but labeled a requested handicap room for the family member staying in that room. We checked in and the handicap room was not available! The guy checking us in did not show any compassion towards the situation. He barely greeted us upon arrival. He made no effort to try and accommodate. He just said my request was only a request and they were full. I explained no one contacted me regarding the issue with the handicap room and he did not care. The rooms were also on different floors! I ended up switching rooms with my family member to make sure he was a little closer to the elevator. There were also bugs in the room and empty soap dispensers in the shower!

Check before going if the pool and outside patio area is functioning. Pool deck was completely closed you could not use the pool nor the sitting area around the fire pits which was a bummer one of the main reason I picked this place so my kids could enjoy outside not be cooped up in a room. The walls were paper thin and everything echoed through the halls

Check in was super easy and the staff were friendly. The room was clean and the beds were really comfortable. Our room faced the shopping area but the shades did a great job blocking out the light. Also, the location is great. A lot of standard chain food and shopping, which can be nice to have an easy choice for dinner for the whole family after a long drive. The room was a little small compared to some hotels, but it was set up well.
