Hampton Inn Jacksonville Beach/Oceanfront

The staff was great, but this will be my final stay at this hotel. My family was moved to a holdover room the 1st night after i noticed large water stain with black mold spores on the ceiling of room 231. We were able to move into another room at noon the next morning. Shortly after checking in, we noticed several ants crawling in and around the desk area. The front desk quickly moved us to a room next door. I was advised by staff that i would be refunded for the the first two nights, which i am still waiting to see if that happens. The floors throughout the hallway and rooms were heavily stained and need to be replaced. The bathroom ceiling contained brown spots. The walls and ceilings look as if they had been painted over several times.

We had a great stay. I was traveling with my children and they loved the pool and the beach. Breakfast was good. It was a weekend and they were very busy. Staff worked really hard to keep the breakfast stocked. Check in was fast and easy. Staff were very friendly. We ordered food at the bar and were able to charge it to our room. I loved that because I didn’t have to worry about bringing my card down to the pool or beach area. The only thing I would suggest is for there it be a sign telling guests what the beach flag colors mean. I had to look it up. We had yellow flags our stay but a hurricane recently went through this area. The current was very strong.

This hotel is excellent for families. The pool is fabulous. Lots of toys including floats and basketball hoops for the water. They provide ample towels that are durable enough for the beach. The location to the beach is perfect too and that stretch of beach seems to be the most maintained with awesome beach chairs and umbrellas for rent right on the sand. The front desk staff was friendly and interactive, always paying attention to who was on property and wishing you a good morning or afternoon. We had a room just over the pool and it was shockingly quiet once the balcony door was closed despite how active the pool deck was. The food was just ok, but there are plenty of restaurants within walking distance. I did enjoy the live music though. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again!

I am a repeat customer at this location because I know my experience will be great! This beach front hotel is family & pet friendly. They offer a hot buffet breakfast daily, have a large pool with direct access to the beach and a outdoor tiki bar. The staff are all very welcoming & my room was clean & spacious as always. The hotel offers plenty of free parking too which is a plus! I highly recommend booking at this location you will not be disappointed.

It is a great place to take your family

Beautiful beach view, bedding could use an upgrade but great value for the price. Huge heated pool and HOT whirlpool, hotter than any resort I’ve been to so that was nice. Tiki bar has great food and drink selection and very friendly staff. Again, great beach views. If you dont want to hear kids at the pool, book a beachfront room because the pool is to the side of the hotel. Double win for view beach ambience. Truly a wonderful place - the only thing I didn’t love was a few unsupervised children fighting in the pool, but if ya just mind your business and throw in some headphones when needed it’ll be bliss!

Loved the room and access to the beach. I had a beautiful view of the ocean sunrise from my balcony. The rooms are not great at stopping noise. I was woken an hour before my alarm was set to go off because the room next to me had a loud child that ran down the hall and banged on my door. It was screaming. The parents brought it to their room and it began screaming more and jumping on the floor and banging on the wall. That was the only thing that made my stay a bad experience. Not really the hotel’s fault, but they could’ve built the rooms more sound-proof.

Lots of kids, crowded but nice for families. This is not a resort experience, but more of a family opportunity at the beach with a pool. The hotel is nice but heavily used. The restaurant has very generous portions but it’s not exactly health food. I would say if I had kids and wanted a reasonably priced getaway at the beach, this would be a terrific value. However as a single adult traveler like myself who just wants a quiet walk on the beach and a quick evening dip in the pool, I would look elsewhere.
