Hampton Inn Amelia Island at Fernandina Beach

Traveling with 2 small kids, location was great. Room was clean and comfortable. Was a little out dated but not terrible.

This was a great hotel. Super friendly staff. The breakfast was good. We made waffles with fun toppings each morning, but had lots of options. There is an outdoor pool and outdoor shower to rinse the sand off after the beach. The room was okay, nothing special, but adequate especially for a beach hotel. It was not right on the beach, but is walkable- maybe not for elderly or little ones. We chose not to walk because the beach has free parking right there. You can even drive on the beach and park with a 4WD or AWD vehicle. You can find lots of shark teeth on the beach. There is a neat bar/restaurant right in front of the beach with music. We will definitely be back!

The staff at this hotel make it what it is. From all the small touches such as a welcome bag with water, afternoon cookies, and a treasure box with goodies for the kids this hotel goes above and beyond. They always had a smile on their faces and always willing to help and offer a friendly greeting. Very highly recommend and will continue to stay here when visiting family in the area.

We had a last minute booking due to travel related to the passing of a family member. All of the staff members were very friendly and accommodating. Mrs. Doris at the front desk went out of her way to pour love and kindness into us during our week long stay. We appreciate this hotel being a refuge during a difficult time.

The rooms were very clean an the clean8ng lady was very sweet. They will only come into your room an clean if you tell the front desk when you check in but they asked if we needed any towels or anything everyday that we were there. The grandkids enjoyed the pool it was cold but they had a great time. It was quite at night an peacefully. I will definitely return again.

My sister and I chose this hotel because the name was recognizable. The night before we were scheduled to check in I called the hotel to ensure that our room would be held since our arrival would be later than expected. I also wanted to request a room as close as possible to another family member that was checking into a different room. The clerk was very nice and told me that she would do her best. When we arrived we were pleased to find that we were directly across the hall! We were also very pleased with the cleanliness and appearance of the room. There was a note informing us that the comforters were clean, and they certainly looked and smelled clean. Overall the room was clean and comfortable and we were able to sleep well. The breakfast bar was a pleasant surprise. There was such a nice variety and there were different selections daily. Everything was very fresh and they did not run out of food before time to close. I would also like to note that every one of the staff that we encountered could not have been more helpful and friendly. Since we have family that live close to this hotel we will certainly recommend this particular location to any other friends and family that visit the area.
