Let me start with the good. It’s a great location, minutes walk to the beach, Ashley on the night of check in and she also worked the next day was exceptional and tried her best to assist within her scope. Juan the manager the next morning also was great and made an adjustment to the bill regardless our families horrible experience. Now the bad, this hotel has a problem with roaches. Upon entering the room we were greeted with a roach. I tried to rationale as possible as the hotel was pretty full. But then upon pulling out the sofa bed we discovered candy wrappers and later under another section of the sofa and old sock with old takis chips. The sofa mattress had a huge stain the size of a tire. Ashley fortunately was able to change the mattress. All this happened on Wednesday night . Friday morning we we’re getting prepared to checked out. I was doing a sweep of the room, took my fresh Krispy Kreme donuts out of the refrigerator, set them on top of the desk next to the TV above the refrigerator, went to grab my purse off another table and within seconds baby roaches were crawling all over the front of the refrigerator. Of course I tried to called down to the front desk so they could come up to the room but the phone had no dial tone!!!! I just grabbed my kids and left. Went right to the desk asked for the manager, but he was not available. I informed the female front desk person I would be calling corporate. I did exactly that.

The room was not vacuumed… crumbs of food from previous guests on the floors. Electrical plug ins very loose. They need replacing! West side stair exit door locks did not work with key card for reentrance. Parking fee for hotel is ridiculous! The gym equipment is awful! During the day a car marked with paper note on windows blocked the north end exit… that has got to be a hazard in case of emergency! No ventilation in bathroom. Tub has no stopper for young child to properly take a bath. Room 204! Unfortunately, we will not be guests there ever again!

The Staff was amazing! Rooms were not freshly cleaned, we had a mechanical issue with our bathroom, and the staff resolved our issue and moved us. The pool is small and not very appealing to children, but thankfully the beach is very close. Breakfast was good.

Staff is attentive and boy do they ever scrub those hallways! Rooms are very tired. Carpets stained although clean. Beds are comfy but pull out couch is only comfortable for a smal child. Couch stained. Bathrooms clean but old and leaky. TV was acting up. Breakfast is typical. One of the kitchen staff keeps an eye on you. A little weird. Only one pool towel in the bin for 5 days. Good location. A couple of good restaurants nearby. The main beach is across a small street and parking lot. Right next to Fort Clinch. Downtown is a 5 minute drive.

My husband and i especially enjoyed the luxurious, quality bedding and pillows. So comfy, we slept for hours and hours! The staff were awesome! I have to give a special shout out to Mrs. Brenda, the kind lady who made the breakfast buffet! She really does an amazing job at cooking the different foods, and the presentation is wonderful. She keeps it fully stocked and clean. Best hotel breakfast we've ever had! The front desk staff were also amazing and helpful! My family visits Amelia Island several times a year. We will definitely be back to stay at this Comfort Inn! Thank you for a pleasant and relaxing stay!

The best part of the stay was Ivory who worked the front desk. She was simultaneously handling people checking in, phone calls, and fixing various issues customers were having. The best part was when she was able to fix the charging stations in the parking lot as they weren’t working. Without a doubt, she was the best part of my family’s stay.

ANTS in our 3rd floor room, MOLD, Leaking Toilette and a front desk that will not give you any extra towels, blankets or pillows! Almost comical how reticent the front desk was at the very THOUGHT of me asking for anything extra - even though the pull out bed does not come with a sheet set in the room! (You are expected to share pillows from the 2 Queens for the pull out bed !!) IF YOU ASK FOR ANYTHIGN MORE YOU WILL BE TOLD YOUR ROOM HAS WHAT IT IS SUPPOSED TO HAVE AND YOU CANNOT HAVE ANYTHING MORE!!!!! There is plenty of parking for the beach so don't pay $180 for this horrible room just for the beach access - This is truly a Motel6/SUPER8 disguised as a Comfort Suite, but with extra bugs and mold! Manager Juan Robles could use some more training on how to run a hotel and treat guests that are paying $180 a night! FYI - Breakfast is over by 9:30 SHARP and the milk and cereal WILL be taken from your kids!! Unbelievable experience! NOT KID FRIENDLY!!!

The location to the beach was great and walkable. We were only here for an overnight stay. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The pool was located in a strange outside on the side of the building. Kids said there where hair balls in the pool. Breakfast was underwhelming but the kids ate it. Skip the coffee!! We would stay there again for an overnight.

Overall not bad. I was not impressed by the high pet fee compared to other properties and the parking fee is something that was not listed when I booked or I would not have chosen this hotel. A similar hotel right down the beach does not charge a parking fee and their pet fee was $25 per night making it half what this one was for a small dog. Overall it worked for our stay but unfortunately due to the cost for what it is we will not choose it again. Also we checked the breakfast photos online to be sure our children had something they would eat only to go out both days and see the pancake machine not stocked to use which was the only item our littlest would have eaten. Also disappointing.
