Hampton Inn and Suites Amelia Island Historic Harbor Front

Wife and I decided to try somewhere new, this place did not disappoint, pet friendly so We had no worries with our Frenchie and if you drive an EV they also have charging available for you. Located next to everything so walking was our mode of transportation. We will Be back with the family. A+

My husband and I met our daughter and 2 small grandchildren just for one night. Our room was large, it was a suite with a kitchenette, full size fridge and freezer, dishwasher, microwave, but no cooking surface. It was fine for one night. The breakfast was very good, I am vegan and had oatmeal, fresh cut fruit (pineapple, berries, grapes, oranges and grapefruit) which was really good. Wish they offered dairy free milk, but am used to not having it, just a wish:). The one downfall, that is not advertised, the pool is closed for remodeling till March. If it had been warmer out, this is a deal breaker and something that should be on the website. Great location, walk to everything downtown, easy parking, cookies available after 3, coffee, tea and water available 24/7 in the lobby. I would not hesitate to stay here again, as long as the pool was open. FYI, no hot tub, even in florida they are enjoyed!

Love this hotel.family friendly. Clean, spacious and comfortable rooms. Located in the middle of downtown right by the river. Breakfast was great with a nice view of the pool and the river behind it. We came as a family of 5. Kids ages 3,9 and 11.

The property is clearly dated; our bathtub was hard to stand in because it had a huge lump in it. Otherwise the property and facilities were fine. My issue was with the manager. We were never told that the TVs were going to be fixed and a third party contractor walked in on my teenage children who were asleep while I was at a conference. He wouldn’t leave until the TV was fixed. This is a major safety concern as he was not accompanied by anyone from the hotel itself. I alerted the manager that I was upset that we weren’t given notice that this person was going to be entering the room and he did not care at all. He was very condescending and said I needed to take it up with Expedia since we booked through a third-party. Then, later that day there was a notice on our door that the TVs were going to be fixed after it had already happened. This passive aggressive gesture was not acceptable. So I called Hilton and now I have an open case with them regarding this problem with the manager. I would not recommend staying here if you have any concerns about safety.

Bed sheets were not changed! Soiled and pubic hair was found on them. Bathroom shower was disgusting...lots of mold and hadn't been cleaned in some time. Carpets throughout the hotel are very dirty and not maintained. Spoke to the front desk and was told the cleaning crew would change bedding and clean bathroom while we were out visiting the city. That did not happen! We went back to the front desk and was then told the cleaning crew had gone home for the day but was told we could be moved to another room, which we did. The next room was somewhat cleaner but nothing to be commended for. Overall this is a very unclean and unsanitary hotel. We will not stay there again nor will we recommend it to any family or friends!
