Its was so tiny that it was for a person... not for two people. Tablet request of room clean was not working and requested to the front desk and... 7 hours later we came back. And still not cleaned and no extra towels... had to go down to front desk to request it again... 10 mins later we get towels... the front desk advise us to use tablet... when i told tgem that function didnt work... smh... deff not for a couple or family... space was about getaway.com cabin size... actually small then that... over priced for that size... water had very low pressure that it was dripping... couldnt really wash hands... and shower... also... breakfast was aite but 20 person was kinda pricey...

citizenM was quite a comfortable space! While the room was smaller than what I'm accustomed to (I usually have to rent family suites when I go on vacations), it was cozy and felt like the right amount of space. The breakfast bar was quite good also. The one minor complaint I'd have would be that the water pressure was a little low for my taste, but all in all it was a fantastic stay!

Excellent Hotel and enjoy my stay during New Years Eve weekend 2023. The rooms were very nice and had some incredible technology based amenities. The buffet was very good and the location was excellent! I would highly recommended staying, but it is families or extended stays due to room size. Room sizes are more for couples and singles unless they have larger room options in the future or I missed during my booking process. The hotel decor is amazing and the staff is very nice and professional.

This hotel is very European: compact room with a comfortable bed, closet and small toilet/shower area. All room amenities (lights, blinds, tv) are controlled via mini iPad, and you select how frequently your room is cleaned. Check-in and -out is also self-serve. Great location a block from a major Metro stop and friendly but fairly minimal staff. The decor has an odd vibe—some sexual vibes in the art. For a single traveler the space is great, but I don’t recommend it for a family.

What started off as a couples trip and ended up solo, I have to say Citizen M is GREAT place to get away for a solo traveler. I wouldn’t recommend sharing the room for family since the room is very small, only if you’re alone or with your boo. VERY CLEAN AND COMFORTABLE, I had no issues regarding cleanliness which is a big deal that concerns me when traveling for hotel. I was very sick on my first night stay so stayin in the room wasn’t bad at all for being ill and alone. My favorite feature was the iPad that basics controlled the whole room and I just like the set up overall of the room.only thing I didn’t like was that you have to iron your clothes in an ironing room and the parking options (but that’s DC ofcourse). In conclusion the staff was very friendly from beginning to end, the cleaning crew was outstanding as well and I will be returning. Kudos Citizen M!

This is a lovely hotel, but I think it is a better hotel for younger people than my husband and me. When we entered the hotel there was one hotel employee at the desk surrounded by 4 or 5 individuals checking in at computers around the desk. I'm sure this is the way of the future but it was a bit of a challenge for technologically-challenged baby boomers! The room reminded us of our travels in Europe trying to pack the most into a small space, but it was done very tastefully. Our only problem was that the king sized bed was in the window alcove (?) of the room and could only be entered from one side. There was no room to walk around the foot or the head of the bed. That meant allowing my husband to have the position that faced the room and I had to crawl over top of his legs and feet to get into my side of the bed. I tried to mention to the young woman who checked our bags for us that it was a very cool hotel, but for younger people, but she used that as an opportunity to tell me I wasn't that old! I appreciated the compliment but it was still difficult climbing over my husband in the middle of the night.

This was our first stay at a Citizen M hotel, and we loved it. The space was small, to reduce price, but tremendously well thought out. The bed was excellent and the lighting system was fun, practical and thoughtful. We were momentarily taken aback by the 100° restriction on the shower. But we are both forced to admit that we were not actually cold. We just wanted to get out of the shower sooner and save water. Which, we’ve decided, is a feature.
Everything else was very snug and comfortable. We enjoyed playing battleship in the lounge (very new and clean) and other games that were provided. Any minor issues were dealt with professionally and generously, and we were left with a very positive feeling overall.
As to those who have mentioned whether the space is appropriate for children, all right yes, there is a statue of a gnome, extending his middle finger… which is hilarious, and any child over 13 is not going to be scandalized. There are a few naughty words here and there on bits of art, but they don’t dominate the space. Just providing that information without judgment.
The price was great and the Spy Museum, ARTECHOUSE and the National Mall were a 15 minute walk away.

The staff particularly was warm and welcoming.
The location of the hotel was great for walking everywhere.
I was not a fan of the things like creatures giving the middle finger in the lobby or curses on pillows in the lounge, not child friendly with erotic suggestive behavior on screen in elevator, which made the pictures of children playing hanging in the room and the pillow with the tutu on questionable as to why they were there . And lastly the swipe on the iPad with the legs open. All quite disturbing.

Small but cleverly designed rooms with many cool features. A little more privacy between sink and rest of bedroom would be nice. Thin curtain gives no sound privacy. Staff is increadably friendly and helpful!
Great location to see capital and Smithsonian and Spy Museum. Public areas are great lwith ots of tables and couch areas to hang out with friends and family. These are also great to eat take out food with lots of room around if you dont want to eat in crowded restaurants during pandemic times. Their coffee and moca are top flight. Fantastic value. Would definitely stay again.
