Homewood Suites by Hilton Southington, CT

Room was dingy old and dirty (from age) Floor of the bathroom was all cracked with sharp shards of grout. And very dirty. Shower curtain was held up by pressure rod that fell on the floor as I was showering. Shower curtain had, what I can only assume was snot, on the inside. Noticed it before it fell on the floor. Kids (sounded like 3or4) screaming in room across the hall which drove the dog down the hall nuts so it barked nonstop while the kids were screaming. Please put pets and kids in one area of the hotel and single business travellers in a different part. Staff at front desk was very nice.

My stay was very relaxing, expect for a few kids acting up in the pool. I sleep very well which is not normal for that was great. The food was good and had a lot of variety. I would defiantly stay again

Room (two bedroom suite) was excellent. Great size for my family of 6. Staff was very friendly. Easy check in and check out.

The service desk associates Kaleb and Bill (or Bob sorry not sure) were very nice and extremely helpful. Also there was a young possibly Hispanic female associate that was at the dinner on Wednesday 2/14 and at the desk and at breakfastThursday morning 2/15 who was very pleasant as well. I apologize that I didn't get her name. I still wanted to mention her due to her great service and how kind she was to my children. There was also a housekeeping woman that came to our room and brought extra linens to us. She was also quite nice. We really enjoyed the dinner Wednesday evening and the breakfast each day. The room was comfortable, clean and quiet. The amenities were nice as well. I am an avid reviewer on Google with more than 25k views. I will be including this in my posts. Thank you for making my stay so comfortable. I will be staying here again.

Stayed one night in handicapped accessible 2 br 2 bath suite. The young man at check in was extremely pleasant, welcoming and informative. He directed us as to where to park for closest access to our room. The hotel location was right off the highway with plenty of food and shops around. We were meeting our daughter and grandchildren to exchange holiday gifts. We didn't realize our granddaughter's gift needed batteries. When I went to front desk to see if they had any available for purchase, they sent a fellow from maintenance to our room- he not only provided us complimentary new batteries, he went and found a small phillips head screwdriver which was needed to open the battery chamber and then installed them for us. The breakfast buffet was well stocked and had a good selection. The seating area was well appointed. Room was well equipped to handle 3 adults and 3 smaller children. Accessible bathroom was spacious and accommodated wheelchair perfectly. Room was clean and living area attractive. Indoor pool was fun for kids. Would definitely go back and highly recommend this property.

Overall, our experience was pleasant enough. First the good: The hotel was quaint and inviting with a cozy lobby area with a fireplace and open eating space behind it. Complimentary breakfast was provided on Saturday and Sunday and the spread was actually quite impressive (eggs, french toast, hash browns, bagels, muffins, cereal, coffee, juice and more). The indoor pool, while not large, seemed like a go-to spot for most of the guests. There is a small gym, an outdoor firepit area and a half court basketball court. Certainly enough to do for a weekend. It's fairly centrally located near shopping and food. Since there is no restaurant - just a snack nook - this was important. The room itself (1 bedroom suite) was not big by any means, but pleasant enough for a family of four. The kitchen was a very nice touch (microwave, full fridge/freezer, sink and stove). The bad: The floors are extremely thin - we heard almost every footstep above us. Normally not an issue during the day when there is ample noise in your own room to drown it out, but the guests above us were stomping and running around until 2:30am. Despite multiple calls to the front desk who assured us it would be handled, the stampede continued unabated for hours. Takeaway: If you have discourteous guests who are unaware of how much noise they are creating for the lower floor guests, I do not recommend this hotel. But if you are lucky enough to not have that occurrence, the hotel is otherwise quite nice.

Clean, comfortable suite, perfect after a long day of driving, especially since we had 2 kids with us.We only stayed one night, but it was roomy and made our stay so much easier when traveling with children. The staff was polite and friendly. Will book again if coming through this way.

My family of four enjoyed our suite stay. One of my requirements when traveling is, free breakfast and this hotel had it. I would improve that aspect because, there was little to no food that looked good. This is my opinion, ive stayed at plenty hotels with free breakfast and no pancakes or waffles is a no go.

Complained about the noise level above and never changed. Sounded like a herd of elephants stomping day and night. Turns out it was 9 kids in the room! Unacceptable! Was never given a chance to change rooms after reporting it. Instead, was lied to, told they were checking out that day. This wasn't true. Toilet leaked all over the bathroom daily. On a good note, the hair products were great!

I liked the hotel. The room was clean and spacious. The staff was friendly and incredibly helpful. Even though there was a boatload of kids staying there, the room was quiet enough and sleep wasn’t an issue. My only small comment would be that the couch in the living room area could have been more comfortable. Other than that I was pleased to see a full sized fridge in the kitchenette along with a good sized (and clean) microwave.
