Our stay at the resort was amazing! I read some reviews that got me nervous at first but I think something to understand is that 1) Estes Park is a generally expensive place to stay 2) you’re really paying for the location of this place - not amenities as you have to pay for everything there. The staff was so great and helpful! The lake had water in it this year so it was perfect for the kids to play. The resort is right beside a great playground and close to the mustang mountain coaster, and a great go-kart/ mini golf. It was also close to the mountain shop where I rented a backpack kids carrier. And away from the traffic of downtown. Overall great place to stay with kids. I also saw a lot of bad reviews about the garden view king - so when I called the resort and learned that that was the room I had, I changed to a ridge view which was totally worth it. I would have been very disappointed with the garden view as it is not much of a view at all. Just a concrete wall. I do wish they offered breakfast. The Dunraven was okay. Some Dunraven staff was nice, others weren’t. They were very snooty about reservations. Be prepared to need reservations a day or two in advance. They are not very accommodating to hotel guests nor did they seem to care. Overall resort - clean, great location, family friendly. Dunraven - good food but don’t expect resort treatment.

Estes Park Resort has been a family favorite for Thanksgiving for about 10 years! Great rates, near enough to downtown/far enough from downtown, nice restaurant, good parking, friendly staff. We will keep coming back!

The property was very clean and nice but they did have construction going on in the game room so my kids could not play pool or other games .

A lovely stay for my wife, three kids 5 & under, and I. Get the jacuzzi room! The views of Rocky Mountains are incredible. Short drive to RMNP and other trails.

The resort was beautiful and in a great location. The staff was friendly. We had breakfast and dinner at the on-site restaurant and it was delicious. However, the AC unit in our room was very disappointing. It was so loud every time it turned on, to the point that none of us slept good because it would startle us awake when it came on. The room had Cheerios on the floor from the previous family.

The majority of rooms do NOT have air conditioning. A surprise for us on a humid day and two kids with asthma. Hotel staff did move us to an empty suite which helped, but I wouldn't take a chance on it again. Could use some renovation and pool is inside while properties closer to town had outdoor pools and looked much more modern.
