We had a trip booked in advance and we had a really heavy emergency, and we tried to contact the hotel if there was any way we could reschedule or get a refund as having an emergency was not in our plans at all. They have a strict non-refundable policy so if you may have an family emergencies don’t book here because they don’t care!

Better than I expected. I live somewhat locally (Fort Collins) and needed a room due to a wedding. The 2 room unit with pullout suited our family needs and was very comfortable and appointed. Highly recommend. Alot of mountain hotels aren’t that great so my expectations weren’t high but I would certainly use the Crag lodge again and may even use it now for positioning to do longer hikes in RMNP so I don’t have to get up at 3am and drive to the park in the wee hours of the morning. I’m gettin to old for that so staying here will make things nice!

We would stay at the Crag's Lodge again in a heartbeat ! I spent 12 summers ( 61-72 ) at Cheley years ago, and my wife & I honeymooned, and made many trips to Estes Park. Was always curious about the Crag's Lodge. We just spent 4 days @ an Airbb with some of our family. Spent the last night in Estes @ the Crag's. It was great ! Had a great room ! Everyone was very helpful and accommodating. It was raining the day we arrived, and the nicest lady at the front desk, met us " outside in the rain ", with a large umbrella. When we checked out, another very nice lady asked about our stay, and invited us to come back. We told her our home in Texas was built in 1912, and that we really enjoyed staying at the lodge. She pointed us to the photograph of the man and his family that built the lodge for his family. It was great ! We could not have imagined a better experience during our brief stay at the Crag's Lodge ! We will definitely be back ! Only this time, for a longer stay ! David P.

We were fortunate that this room was available on Expedia for a single night as we are also RCI members and had previously looked at staying here for a longer period. It is a gorgeous location. The room had really everything that we needed, however in saying that, the room was very small. They told us we were uprgaded to a room with view, and the view was very nice (wouldn't say spectacular, but Estes is Gorgeous anyways). It was just my husband and I this time but there would be no room in a room that size to bring our children with. It was perfect for what we needed. The hot tub was great, was too cold to use the pool but the with the recent snow and the view in the hot tub....It was fabulous!! All in all, we had a great experience with this hotel and definitely no complaints with the price!!
