La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Santa Cruz

I was very pleased with our stay the staff was friendly and the distance to the boardwalk was nice easily walkable even with kids. Will be making this my go to spot for Santa Cruz trips.

We had a fabulous time for our last trip of summer break. We had an awful situation with an airbnb which made us scramble to look for lodging that didn't break the bank. l found La Quinta and it was a total blessing. Everything about it was superior to the airbnb we left. The location, the quality and condition of the hotel, the morning breakfast, the common area to hang out, the pool and the rooms. We were so grateful they had availability. I will definitely stay here again when we return to Santa Cruz. Perfect place for families with kids and teens.

We had a great family trip. This hotel was clean, breakfast included was decent, check in & check out was quick & easy. Walking distance from hotel to Pier was great. Our kids didn't mind the walk to the Boardwalk & Beach. We didn't get a chance to play in the pool. Although we had to pay for parking, having our car in underground garage was easily accessible & because we were so close to everything, we didnt need to drive anywhere. I would definitely stay here again.

The room was large and a great size for our family of 4. We appreciated the extra room and sofa for an additional sitting area. The bathroom was also large and gave us space to have 2 people getting ready at a time. The breakfast area was very tight and we had trouble on multiple days finding an area to sit. The single waffle maker was always busy and required a 10 minute wait to use. Otherwise, the continental breakfast was pretty standard gave us a good start to our day. Parking was also very tight. The spots themselves were small. Our minivan fit with about 6-12 inches on each side. Most times I would have everyone get out before parking because there wasn’t enough room to open doors. The number of spots were also insufficient. One night of our stay they completely ran out of spots and I needed to talk with the front desk for a few minutes before they let me park in their entry area. Initially they were asking me to park in the on-street metered parking. Location was great and it was an easy walk to the boardwalk. If visiting Santa Cruz again, I might stay again depending on other available options.

We enjoyed staying here for 2 nites while visiting Santa Cruz. The hotel was immaculate, including our room. We slept peacefully and comfortably. This is a great place for families with small kids. They'll love the heated pool! It's only 3 ft deep and it's located outside above street level with a nice view. I felt very safe and secure. The parking garage below the hotel is gated and has an elevator that took us up to our room's level. I brought our bicycles with us and left them on my car's bike rack overnight without worry. I love the location of the hotel. It was a short 2 minute bike ride from the hotel to the boardwalk area. Its just far away enough from the downtown traffic/noise while still being close to shopping, dining and entertainment. We will definitely be back!

We enjoyed our stay here. We were able to park in garage ahead of check in, since we were a couple hours early, and then walked to the beach. Loved that they had a pool which waa very important to my kids. Room was very comfortable.

Staff was really nice. Parking was very convenient and secured. Location and amenities was great. My kid liked the heated outdoor pool and the breakfast options.

Great breakfast for family of 5. Saved a ton of money!

This is our second stay with a special-needs child. Hospitality here is 5 Star. We love this property.

Had another great stay. From The front desk team to the housekeeping team everything is so great. We love staying there and can’t wait to Be back. This time we brought our brother and his family and they also love their stay.
