Dream Inn Santa Cruz

The room did not have curtains on some of the windows and the lights at night were intrusive as well as the sun rise. Also it was extremely loud- both of the rooms we had were like this. It was miserable for all of our family.

We have stayed at the Dream Inn a number of times, with our kids, as a couple and recently with our two grandsons. We had a great stay, swimming, beach, wharf and Boardwalk all in walking distance. What’s not to like? Staff is super friendly

Very clean, on the beach, everything is within walking distance. Staff was friendly and helpful. We had a very loud AC unit making a high pitch sound. They switched our room. They were accommodating and made it up somehow. Overall great place for my kids, heated pool, good breakfast.

Exceptional property, the provided excellent service. The location is perfect and offers easy access to the beach, pier shopping and dining . I would highly recommend to families traveling with children .

The place is clean and safe kids friendle

We were able to check in early which was nice as our baby is only 3 months old. Staff are very friendly, knowledgeable & accommodating. The view was amazing and the room as well as hotel is very well maintained. The area is walkable, quiet hotel and wonderful restaurant.

Property itself was decent, nothing extraordinary. Called downstairs to request additional pillows and an iron that worked 4x before we went down ourselves to try and get pillows. The iron was brought later. Aparently you arent permitted to smoke outside on the balcony (be aware for those that do not read all the fine print) . They could have called and let me know, given me a warning, and if it happens again ask us to leave. Instead, 1st call from them was to tell me they were charging me $350 for smoking outside the room. Do not stay at this resort. There are plenty of other places to stay in Santa Cruz and surrounding area. The staff on the phone was rude and id rather pay $350 and never speak to you again, never stay there again, and make certain that anyone I know and or can reach via social media, yelp, expedia reviews etc to steer far clear of your resort. Oh by the way the beach for this resort will be taken ALL DAY by the junior lifegards . Im proud to watch these kids learn to save lives. Would be cool if it werent at the resort i paid top dollar to go to then was needled for an extra $350. It aint about the money, i would gladly set $350 on fire if it meant someone understood never to stay here. Oh yeah, ordered food at the pool that they forgot completely. Bartender was a savior tho and tried to have it made qucikly and made uo for it with a complimentary drink. He was your one bright light in an otherwise dismal experience. We had a great time but I felt it was extremely over priced. My kids and I were driving up the coast and everything was fun, light and easy. The only downside was the highly priced room charge and the additional $40 a day for parking. When your hit with a high priced room - then additional high priced resort fee - I feel parking should be included. I think it just leaves a bad taste in your mouth upon your departure.

This is a really cute Hotel. It is PERFECTLY located in Santa Cruz away from the boardwalk but right on the beach. The pool overlooks the beach and the wharf. There is a restaurant onsite that is decent--great views and service was great!! Food was good (not a ton of selections but some seasonal specials-but pricey--like everything these days. Would have liked to have more fresh seafood and some oysters on the menu and more salads ). There is a great trail to walk or bike along the beach adjacent to the hotel and one can walk to the wharf for lots of dining options. Pool service at the bar would be great, but there is a bar one can walk to and a taco bar as well. Lots of kids in the pool so if you want quiet, this is not the place for you to lounge. Overall would stay here again!!

We loved it so much we extended our stay. We've stayed here before and love it. Its perfect for the kids. Beautiful walk from the hotel to the boardwalk. Great dinner options also all walkable from hotel.
