Breakfast was good, but it was so hot very hard to be down there getting settled with kids.

Honestly I wouldn’t recommend this property to others. Several guest including myself felt unsafe in the area in which this hotel is located. They overprice the VIP parking due to the large homeless population in this area (supply and demand I guess). Although this area has an attendant there’s still several homeless people sleeping within the car lot - which makes one think if the cars are even safe to be in there. It feels unsafe to be around the area at anytime of the day because of the constant watching over your backs on the homeless people. The elevators were constantly smelling like different scents. The breakfast was not pleasant- we only had breakfast here one day and it was not worth it. We had to leave earlier due to a family emergency and we weren’t able to get a refund or credit for the night that we didn’t use. I understand it’s a policy, but there should be some type or credit or compensation if it was due to something that’s out of ones control.

Called before to ask about pet policy and was told there was no extra charge, as soon as we arrived Anna told us there was a $75 charge per night and moved us to a different room , much smaller than what we had. Elevators took so long to arrive every time, one of the times elevators stopped working for about 30 mins. We had to take the stairs down from 5th floor not the most ideal for a 8 month pregnant woman with a toddler. Valet parking associate Othman was outside smoking weed while we were waiting for him to give him the keys to the car. Customer service is obviously not their priority. Area is terrible so many homeless people all around, I know it’s not the hotels problem but it doesn’t feel safe at all.

The area is terrible and had too many weirdos and crackheads literally hanging around the front doors of the hotel and the staff some Asian guy there is not the friendliest and can have bad attitude and the room was way too small for the price it’s so tiny you could barely walk around the bed it’s that cramped up and there was no mini fridge or microwave either which was a huge inconvenience for our little family. Even the cheapest hotels I been too usually have a microwave and fridge so that’s why we decided to go to a Best Western the next night and what a huge difference the staff was so nice and our room was way nicer and bigger and even had a mini fridge too so I highly recommend a different hotel because this one is not worth the money at all. The only thing we did love was the roof top terrace but other than that it’s not even worth it.

Cancelled after the first night. Would not issue a refund. As travellers from Canada this was an awful experience kids were scared. Dirty don’t not stay here.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The room felt dustier than average and the mirror had lipstick or something like it smudged on it. I didn't realized that the area the hotel was in has so many homeless people and has pretty dirty streets and a rundown look. I had my kids with me and walking around with them felt less safe than I would have preferred.

I made several request for cancelling my Reservation as I had stay with my family. But they didn’t consider my request. Also gave me a room where the AC was not working properly.
Parking was not included because I booked from Expedia. Please book directly on the website.
But apart from that Staff was good. Good breakfast. valet service was good and fast.

Unfortunately used their Valet Service. $60 charge for one their employees to go through my vehicle to steal sunglasses, money, who knows if any mail (possible identity theft), which all of course was out of sight in middle console or in glove box. Spoke to their Manager on duty, he knocked off Valet charge. This only happens in San Francisco. Staffing didn’t have anything else to offer but it was out of their hands. They gave me the Valet Manager contact info to contact. Of course family that was checking out in front of me was overcharged and the staff was trying to blame third party instead of actually helping them out. Company I am affiliated with will drop Hampton Inn for business stay/events going forward.

When my WAZE GPS brought me to the back door of this hotel it was a very unsettling feeling. There was homeless people everywhere and human feces on the sidewalk in front of the entrance. I’m traveling with my daughters and I was fearful for their safety. I had everyone get back in the car and we went and found the front entrance. This was a little better, but not by much. This hotel charges $62 to valet your car. They give you the option to go find your own parking if you want to risk your life walking around the neighborhood. Once we finally checked in, the hotel was very nice. I would recommend travelers beware of this hotel due to the neighborhood, especially if they are traveling with your family. I personally will not be staying there again.
