Hotels.com advertises this as a "beautiful victorian hotel with a restaurant". First: it's not a hotel, it's a hostel and they should not be advertising otherwise. Some notes: - Shared bathrooms and showers. They only advertise this directly on their website. Again - this is not a hotel, it's a hostel. - Rooms are microscopic. Ours was a two twin bed room, which was almost the exact size to fit two twin beds. Very narrow (18"?) space between the beds, a tiny children's chair taking up all the space at the foot of one, and the sweep of the door barely clearing the foot of the other one. There was a dumpy wardrobe taking up the rest of the space. My 5 yr old son and I were cramped, I can't imagine two adults staying there (unless they're students; again, it's a hostel not a hotel). - Rooms are hot and stuffy, no A/C. Ours smelled musty and dank when we got there. I turned the fan on high, but it just slowly rotated. There's a window, but it opens onto the common hallway of the hotel, and provides no ventilation (it's indoors). - Little to no privacy (it's a hostel not a hotel). With the door of our room open (often necessary just to get a little space or some air), the bench directly across in the common area had literal full view of our entire room, messy beds and all. - Bathrooms and showers are down the hall and shared. Hostel, not a hotel. Charming enough, but too old to get clean and calling this a hotel is a scam on unwitting tourists.

The worst hotel I've ever stayed in. My wife and I just wanted a night away from the kids to be left alone, but this place was a nightmare. The windows face the hallway, offering zero privacy. It's filthy, worse than any motel we've ever seen. Dark, disgusting, and regretful—those are the words that come to mind. There was no mention that the bathroom and shower were shared. It felt like a place where the homeless would live. The noise was unbearable, making it impossible to sleep. We ended up going home because staying there was out of the question. I'd rather sleep under a bridge with the homeless than stay in this hotel. I demand a refund. I wouldn't stay here even if they paid me.
