Best Western Desert Villa Inn

Average older hotel remodeled just enough where it looked decent but still had things like the tub making a loud noise in the wall when you turned on the water, toddler-sized toilet and hard as rock beds. Pool was ice cold and smelled and there was no hot hub. R but clean. Great customer service at the front desk though.

This property was actually really nice! The room was very clean and the breakfast was excellent! We would recommend this place to our friends and family! We really enjoyed our stay here

There was a man trying to open the rooms when we got there to check in. I told the front desk and she waived it off by saying he needs a card to get in. Unsafe for my family & wont be staying there again.

Everything was going so well with my stay till the morning when I went to get breakfast with my 3 kids got questioned in how many people were in my room in front of everybody that was in that breakfast room it was embarrassing because if they wanted to know they could of came to my room and checked. So I got back to my room mad and I told my husband he went back and told the lady that was putting out the food and asked her why did she questioned me if they had a problem why didn’t they go to my room to check he even asked her if he could talk to the manager and she was like no no it’s okay she didn’t understand me it’s okay. My husband came back and he was like the lady putting out the food was the one with the problem because she didn’t want me to talk to the manager. I was going to give it a really good review because everything is nice and the guy that checked me in was very helpful it was just the lady putting out the breakfast that made it worst.

The hotel is located next to the busy freeway and train tracks but I believe that all the hotels in Barstow have the same issue. We found 2 pairs of foam ear plugs (provided by hotel) on our bedside table and used them, so had a good nights sleep! I will stay here again when visiting family in the area.

Highly recommended if you are on the way to Las Vegas and want to halt for a night specially if traveling with family and kids. Located on Route 66 doesn’t require any de-tour. The hospitality is amazing and the complimentary breakfast is fresh, sumptuous, and the hotel staff is very welcoming. I met Raj at the reception who was very warm and friendly. The property is safe and secure and well guarded with cameras and 24x7 staff on duty.

The listing for this property was misleading. The "fresh coat of paint" over the old spaces was really disappointing. The room felt dingy and dark. The towels were rough and scratchy, making me wonder how clean the other linens were. My family found dog poop in their closet where their toddler was playing. I wasn't thrilled to stay here, and was excited to leave. This place is now my low standard for hotels.

The place was nice, clean and everything worked. My kids had a blast at the pool even though the water was ice cold.
