Baymont by Wyndham Barstow Historic Route 66

If you are looking for a quiet place to stay, this hotel is not the one. We stayed at Baymont over the New Year and there were only five families there total and the staff had to place someone right above us. The family above us was running a marathon at 2am in the morning. That combined with the squeaking, high-pitched noises from the train caused us to not sleep over night. On top of that the next morning, the staff did not put out boiled eggs, yogurt, or the pastries that were there the last time we stayed at Baymont. Very disappointing experience and we for sure will not be staying here again.

First thing upon arrival was the relevant smell of cigarettes throughout the entire hotel… the pictures posted must have a filter because the rooms are not as they appear. My room was never cleaned one time during my stay no trash taken out as well as a very loud refrigerator that I had to turn on myself. The appearance of the hotel upon arrival is as if it’s under construction in the back because the maintenance materials are stacked around the back door broken concrete and all. When I walked out of my room my door wouldn’t properly close leaving all my valuables exposed… I looked at every hotel in Barstow and was very disappointed I booked with what I would have thought was most decent for the price a paid. Unless you like these type of conditions I wouldn’t book there I should have followed my first mind and booked with Best Weatern or Hokiday Inn

They need to move beyond COVID like other motels. Pool is locked and breakfast minimal. Table and chairs stacked so discouraged families. Sausage on a stick awful. Fruit and beverages good.
