Courtyard by Marriott Riverside UCR/Moreno Valley Area

Nice facility, even my single room felt pretty special. Unique in that there was a historical building right on the property. What WASN'T great was getting charged an extra $10 for parking; the rest of my family--in a different room--didn't have that happen at all.

I booked a room that said it sleeps 4. I was traveling with 3 kids and myself. At check in, I asked for a cot and they said they did not provide cots. The person checking me in had no way to solve my problem and gave me incorrect information about their app. The couch bed was only a twin mattress, barely big enough for five year old twins. The room did not comfortably sleep 4. In the room, the tv was dangling at a downward angle. There was a 4 inch tear in the couch cushion. It looked like nobody had been in for a routine maintenance check. I saw someone from housekeeping in the hallway and let her know, and she said she would swap it out with another cushion, but I never heard back. There was a brochure about their points program but no hotel information. I later learned you have to request housekeeping if you want it. I did, twice, but they never came. “Broken computers” was the excuse. When it came to bath time, there were only 3 towels in the room even though it had been reserved for 4 people. The bath plug did not work. I popped it off to fix it, and underneath was a giant blob of hair. I cleared it and the plug still didn’t work. So my kids got a shower. Maintenance came next day but didn’t fix it, then at my second call fixed this 2 days later. There were no towels at the pool. When I asked front desk to bring out, she initially refused, then said she would hand them over the gate. A little weird and off putting. Overall run down and not worth the price
