Sheraton Fairplex Hotel & Conference Center

Clean property. Friendly and accommodating staff. Ample parking. We came for the LA county fair and it was perfect. 2min walk to the fair entry. Went to the fair in the morning, the pool and hotel in the afternoon and back to the fair at night. Very convenient since we’re traveling with 3 small kids. We only live 30 min away but this was a perfect staycation spot.

My family and I enjoyed our stay to Sheraton hotel in Pomona. It was just perfect for my family of five. The suite provides enough space for everyone and above all it was so close to the fair. We go every year and it’s our family tradition. And each year we stayed at this hotel with the best experienced . Will do it again next year.

There was a party across the hall until 330am. At 12 midnight I spoke with the front desk then called them back around 2am. The hotel never sent security to room as they advised me they would do. I was there with my 3 small children on vacation. The next day there was beer bottles and trash left at the end of the hall way where our room was located. The trash and beer bottles were left in the hallway for 2 full days. the hotel staff was very friendly, just no follow through.

Where do I start. First time in Claremont to drop off kid in college. Chose this hotel for the quality associated with Marriott name. But it is worst than any hotel I have ever stayed in my 40 years of travel. The duvet was without cover. It was sandwiched between two bedsheets. Airconditioner had its own mind and wouldn't follow the temp setting. The room did not have basic amenities like hand soap next to sink. Imagine having to go to shower each time you washed your hands. Fixed bottles in shower like a 3 star MOTEL, which the staff didn't bother to check for contents. No tissues either. Very poor quality towels. On the 4th day, room wasn't cleaned or attended by housekeeping. REASON - they were short staffed. The front desk sent a very angry housekeeping staff with towels at 6 pm. He was verbally aggressive with threatening body language. He backed off and left as soon as I pulled out my phone to record him. THIS IS A DISASTER WAITING TO HAPPEN. This hotel is old and disgrace to Marriott brand. The elevators are operating with temporary certification indicating serious safety issues. One elevator has a sign restricting it to max. 2 people. The restaurant was closed for first 3 days. You had to place online order and pickup your food. Not even room service. I plan to visit Claremont atleast 3 times a year for next 4 years but will never again go near this hotel. There are better hotels in Claremont.

We were from out of state and were there for a memorial service for a family member. We’re a group who travelled from Colorado, Wyoming and California. It’s hard to get us all together in one place at the pool as we were prohibited to go there as we were informed that special guests are staying there as well ( Peru National Soccer team). Where else can we go? The lobby was well guarded, diverting “traffic”, fans all over the place. It was a mess. Very disappointed.
