Best Western Plus Dana Point Inn-by-the-sea

Friendly staff, thank you for being so welcoming in our birthday weekend with me and my family

The staff was so nice, but the property itself was in terrible disarray and unsafe conditions such as uneven steps and tiling and paint completely chipped and wearing off on beams that were visible. Caution tape on stairs and in general disrepair. Really needs upkeep and repair. Was somewhat unsafe for my children.

Thank you Phil and family for the wonderful hospitality. We just needed a night getaway/staycation to cap our holiday season and they were very accommodating, especially since there was a confusion with what Expedia offered and what was provided in the hotel’s information. We truly appreciate Phil accommodating us.

Shower is inconvenient because can’t adjust h/c . My room was very hot and my kids room was very cold. We can’t adjust for temperature. We paid $1260 for two nights and two rooms. Breakfast room is ok but not really clean.

This is a family running hotel. We did meet a very nice people, who love the place where they live and like the job that they are doing. Excellent place to relax, beautiful location. Highly recommend.

It was wonderful to stay at BW Dana Point by the Sea while we spent Xmas with family in San Juan Capistrano. The Holiday decorations were just right. The complimentary breakfast helped to make it feel like being in a group of well-wishers rather than an anonymous hotel experience. The hotel layout is open, every room door opens onto the quiet courtyard garden and fountains. You can see the bach right across the highway from almost anywhere in the hotel.

It's the Best Western! This is a great hotel, where our family of four enjoyed a 3 night stay. The Hotel staff was courteous and friendly. There is a nearby walking bridge to get across PCH to the beach safely. Our favorite Mexican Restaurant Olemandi's is within walking distance. Dana Point Harbor, San Clemente and Laguna Beach are all nearby. Parking under the hotel was a little tight, but we were always able to get our van into a parking spot. We would definitely stay here again.

Our stay was amazing. The staff are very nice, accommodating and very helpful. Overall cleanliness of the property is ok ( other rooms are under renovations so construction materials within the garage are understandable) The underground garage itself is rather small and does fit compact cars but will be a bit challenging for big trucks and large SUV's. They have a few space for those type of vehicles close to the entrance of the garage though. The breakfast is so so, nothing fancy but the lady in charge is very attentive. I certainly enjoyed the fresh waffles, cup of fruits and coffee. The property is within walking distance to Doheny camping ground and Doheny Beach ( with good valleyball sand ground, tables and space but the area is much more conducive to surfers ' pro'lly coz waves much better in that area?) Theres a couple of restaurants within walking distance but we opted to drive around 2 mins to a close by Denny's ( per kids's request) along Pacific Hi way. There are couple of groceries, Starbucks and convinience/ gas stations along the hiway too.

Such a great trip for the family, this hotel is right across the street from the beach. The owners are so friendly and outgoing. Anything you need they got you. Overall a great experience and would highly recommend this spot
