The TV sound is broken, goes from soft to average volume and back. Also the walls are not well insulated- very noisy in hall. Finally the breakfast offerings were sub-par. Cereal were 3 kids cereals, pastries all packaged, pancake machine made tire patches, rubbery etc. but people, maids, front desk and breakfast room were very cordial and helpful.

The rooms need a major upgrade. Dingy, smelly, moldy odor. The sofas and furniture in suites are dirty, old and uncomfortable. Check in as at 5 PM?! Unbelievable!!! My brother was having major back ache and needed to lay down and as we arrived at noon, any other hotel would have accommodated, but not this one! We having been staying at hotels in Dana point and San Clemente for 2 months working in a project out there for my crew and family. This was our first night here and worst experience this far. I will complement them on one thing they do right and that is their staff. Pleasant and polite. Amelia is a Gem and should run the show for a better experience for guests. Overall, run down hotel w moldy smell. Staff is wonderful to make up for it !

Location was good. Walkable to beach and the harbor. Staff was super friendly and sweet to my kids. Rooms are old and not very clean. The sink in the bathroom kept gargling up black stuff. The ceiling looked like it had mold stains. Smelled very musky. Breakfast was delicious and a good variety.

My family enjoyed a comfortable stay at this hotel. It was clean, felt safe, and there were no strong smells which we are very sensitive to. My son and husband thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast served there each morning as well. Would definitely return!

The location was perfect! close to the beach surrounded by many dining options. The room was perfect for our family. the mini fridge, microwave and sink made staying here easy with our young children. The only downside was the smell of mildew as you entered the room.

The staff at this location is extremely friendly and responsive. My mom had an issue with her bath jets and they sent one of three service guys right up. This hotel is in a great walkable location to Doheny Beach, Dana Point Harbor, Jack's Surf Shop and more. The pull-out is better suited for kids rather than grown men, just saying.

They say they are pet friendly, but they are not. The maids demonstrated fearful responses to our two little dogs. Then antagonized them with loud banging and posting notes on our room door even though we left tge do not disturb sign on the door. Then. When the dogs barked it was the maid who called in the complaint not any other quests. Then the front desk says the dogs are not to be unattended and threatened to throw us out. How pet friendly can you call yourself if quests can't leave their dog in the room in the middle of the day to go to lunch or whatever? This place charges $20 per dog per day! We pay for a suite so we can put them in the bathroom because the bathroom is in the middle btween the 2 rooms of the suite just so no one can hear them if they start barking. When we got to the room it was nearly impossible to hear them barking until we opened the door. The maid was in the next suite deliberately bagging the vacuum cleaner against the wall between that room and ours. This is our 10th stay there because it is the only hotel close to our grandchildren and they given us endless trouble over our 2 little chi-poms even tbough have spent thousands of dollars there always paying for the larger suites all the way down at the end where few guests are, and we never leave them alone at night or let them bark at night, when they could actual disturb other guests. It's just horrible customer service. Don't even get me started how bad all service has declined there since Covid

Hotel was fine- a little dated. Noisy street. Not a pedestrian friendly walk to the beach. They are relentless about masks stating they are following CDC guidelines when the guidelines state you don’t need to wear one if you are vaccinated. They were actually quite rude to my 92 year old father in law. The accessible rooms have showers that leak all over the floor. Tiny elevator that you have to fight the staff for (not kidding). I will look elsewhere for our next visit to the area.

Older property but they seemed to be updating it. Great location. The room smelled of stale smoke; sometimes the public areas smelled of marijuana. Housekeeping never made the beds or vacuumed the rooms; they only exchanged towels or took out the trash every other day or so. Our kid's feet were black after walking on the carpet..
