Comfort Inn Monterey Peninsula Airport

When we arrived, everything seemed nice, until my kids started walking around the room. When they got on the bed, the bottom of their feet were black. The carpet was so dirty, that it turned the bottom of their feet black within the first 10 minutes of being here. Luckily, we brought our slippers, so we made sure to always have them on while we were in the room. The beds were extremely uncomfortable. I'm guessing they use box spring mattresses, but mine and my husband's backs had to recover after the trip. The continental breakfast was okay and as expected. This place also doesn't have AC, but you're able to open the window. The breeze was nice, so we didn't actually need an AC. When it got cold, the heater in the room worked excellent. Customer service was okay too. The front desk people are nice. Due to the cleanliness and mattresses, I wouldn't stay here again.

Great place to stay in Monterey area. Recommend to family and friends!!

The walls of our room in the bldg closest to the breakfast bar had very thin walls. We could hear the water running through the pipes for most of our stay. There was a few foil gum rappers under the bed that the vacuum didn't get (I looked for toys before we left). The beds were great and they had pillows that you could choose that were soft or firm. Next time I'd go I'd bring ear plugs with me. The kids didn't notice the problem and never mentioned the noise.

Great place overall. Very pleased with our rooms...clean, spacious...and with a patio! Location is not in the heart of downtown, however, it's not far. Pleased with breakfast options which included waffles, sausage and eggs in addition to the usual cereal, pastries, and fruit. Hotel accommodated our request for lower level rooms as we were traveling with elderly family members. Would definitely stay here again when back in town.
