Munras Inn

Booked room months in advance for a family vacation. The room looked nice, but the room air conditioner didn't work. It was 78* in the room in the afternoon and was still 77* by the time we went to sleep 7 hours later. All the staff did was give us a tiny portable fan and we had to open windows to try to cool down the room to be able to sleep.

Room was nice, it was very quiet and private which we loved. The bed was comfortable and it was clean. We were under 10 minutes away from everything we had planned for our Monterey trip! We have recommended Munras Inn to our friends and family and agreed that on our next trip this is where we will be staying again!

The staff at the front desk were very kind & helpful. The room was beautiful with a comfy bed & fireplace. The breakfast was portable foods easy to eat in the car & good for my kids. Everything was great & loved our stay.

My daughter, two grandchildren and I spent 4 nights at the Mundas Inn while visiting Monterey and the area. The room was exactly as pictured. Very clean and comfortable. We needed washcloths and hand towels the second night and they were delivered promptly. The beds were very comfortable and the fireplace a homey touch. The lady at the front desk was very kind and helpful. The property is definitely older but it has been well maintained. The only suggestion I would make to management would be to allow for some type of bedside lighting. The overhead lights are the only lights for the whole room. So, you either have full bright light or dark. Nothing in between to allow soft light for each bed. However, I would still recommend the Mundas Inn to anyone staying in the Monterey area.

Stayed here for 3 nights with family. Property looked to be built in 70's & was outdated. Room was dark and cavernous. Can lights were added on a piece of faux wood siding attached to the wall. Patio overlooked an old house with upholstered furniture and other junk in the yard. Breakfast selections were limited to boxes of cereal, milk, yogurt, muffins. Dining area: outdoor picnic tables that were always wet from rain & dew. We had no maid service, had to request towels and other items daily. There are better motels in the area for less.
