Embassy Suites by Hilton, Los Angeles - Downey

Housekeepers are scamming here. Grimy, sticky, filthy, etc. Bathroom had no soap, shampoo, body wash. No toilet paper and only two towels for a family with 2 queen beds. Also two of the light fixtures did not work and we had to call for bulb replacement. I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if the housekeepers are not replacing the sheets here. Kitchen chair had multiple tears. Gross and stuff overall. Check in took forever with only one person working.

I have to say that we love this Embassy, location is good, neighborhoods nearby are safe, and we have stayed at this location at least 15 times and this is the first time this happened. We got to our room and didn't realize till we were laying down for bed that the air conditioner wasn't working. We called front desk about 1 am and asked for a fan, which was delivered quickly, but still we were still warm the whole night, didn't use blankets, and for us, we like a room cold, and to snuggle under comfy blankets, we didn't get that. End result I called and they awarded me points into my Hilton reward program which was equivalent to $150, so with that said I will not give up on Embassy. We could have maybe asked for another room but the kids were asleep and it was 1 am, the last thing we wanted to do was move rooms.

Amazing stay!!! Super clean, super busy and safe area, lots to do and eat in the area, perfect distance from universal and knotts berry farm without breaking the bank! Loads of breakfast options! Great service, super pretty hotel :) would love to return with my family

I'm going to make this review very brief!! The room was spacious however it could use some remodeling. The beds are very small, the let out couch bed was uncomfortable. Our children wouldn't even sleep on it. Hidden fees were ridiculous. 17 dollars per night for parking, 4.99 or more for wifi, and on top off that a 150.00 dollar deposit. The breakfast is not versatile. If you want turkey bacon or turkey susage forget about it. We literally got tired of eating the same thing within our 4 day stay. Our light was out. The maintenance guy came out to look at the light but never came back to fix it. Lastly on the second to last day housekeeping take all of our towels and didn't replace them. Overall this was our experience and we wouldn't stay here again.

Wasn’t able to check in 20 minutes before check in time. Check in time was at 4, we arrived a little before and the girl at the front desk said I had to wait until 4 on the dot. We go back after 4 and she says the room is not quite ready. We get to the room and the cover had long black hairs. (I have pictures) I called front desk and no one ever came. Next day we left around 11am. I asked front desk if we could get room cleaned and she happily said yes, we get back close to 9PM and no one ever went to clean the room!!!!!! I called front desk and they said sorry that the cleaners had been very busy. I told them that our trashes were full and we had dirty towels. So they sent the hotel security to bring me bags so that I could empty the trashes and he also had me take out the dirty towels to him. I’m on vacation and felt like I was cleaning the entire time I was there. The remote control was dusty and so was the Kleenex box on the desk. They give us 2 complimentary drinks but bar closes at 10:30 (on a Friday and Saturday) so our vouchers went to waste. The indoor pool felt like a sauna!!! It was ridiculous hot in there. My kids wanted to swim so I just sat there watching them and sweating cause it was so hot! I’m sorry but I paid way to much money for such an awful experience!! Nothing from what I expected.

The main reason for the family trip was to go swimming. The pool was so dirty. The pool had way to much chlorine that my family and I weren’t even able to enjoy the time in the pool. Our eyes and skinned burned so much after that we couldn’t wait to get back to the room to shower. This was also our first time staying here so we didn’t know what to expect. Also breakfast time was to packed with not many tables.

Nice hotel. Party’s and events. Not for families. They need to pay more attention to pool thou. Not too clean

3 family members checked in this hotel the same weekend as myself. We all had issues. I had a leaking refrigerator that caused a big puddle of water. My aunt had her main entrance door not close and open properly. She also had blood on her bed and a distinctive bad odor in the corner of the room. My cousin had a toilet that continuously kept on clogging up. Lastly I requested to use a buggy for my luggage and was told that I had to bring the buggy back down after usage. They were not kind enough to at least retrieve the buggy from my room when I was done.

I reserved and paid for one bedroom double queen beds when I arrived to check in at 4:30 told me those rooms were sold out and gave me one king bed for family of 5
