Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites River Park, an IHG Hotel

My family decided for this hotel because of the pool and once we arrived we found out the pool is closed all season. This is very upsetting to know once we were checked in.

Customer service was terrible. Room was clean and comfortable bed. Rude front desk and some employees don’t know policies and gave us the run around. We had a family emergency and they made our situation worse. I will not be coming back to this hotel.

The room had a weird smell. Opening windows did not help with smell. We as a family of four got a throat infection because of the smell. We asked for a new room but none was available.

Upon arrival our room was nice but noisy upstairs’ guests with children run and played. they were very loud . We talked with Angela the front desk manager and she moved us to a new room right away which was very helpful and made for a pleasant experience. Thank you so much.

As many have read, the hotel is undergoing renovations. We lucked out with an updated room. We also got a room that faces the parking lot, so it was relatively quiet. Beds were comfy and the room clean. The staff provided a crib for our baby boy and that was awesome. There were a couple things that bugged me. The staff was under the impression that the pool was heated. We arrived after sunset and found the pool cold and unlit.There were area lights but no pool lights. The second, due to renovations, the second elevator is out of service. While it seemed that only 4 people were ever using it, you could imagine a busy check-in/check-out really congesting one elevator. Staff are extremely helpful, generally knew what was going on and took care of our needs. When looking at hotels in the area at this price range, cleanliness was my top concern. That's what I got. Comfy bed and some breakfast too.
