Holiday Inn Express Walnut Creek, an IHG Hotel

We stayed there as I was being induced with baby #3 which means our timeframe there would be unclear. The staff went above and beyond to make this detail of our trip the easiest one to handle. They were able to extend our stay with no issues and when we needed to leave early after extending they were quick to help us. The staff is incredibly kind and caring. We woke up to the sweetest congratulations on your new baby note under our door. We have stayed there twice, this time and when we first moved back to the state and both times I have been impressed by them. My kids absolutely LOVE the complimentary breakfast bar and we were able to get their wiggles out by exploring the beautiful property. We're hoping to have a staycation this summer and enjoy the pool as a new family of 5.

This was a terrible stay. The first room we had, the tub was clogged and leaking everywhere. Shower has filthy. The second room, hot water was out for an entire day. Same night at 1 am, fire alarm started going off, had to get out of the room with my kids for 1.5 hours. Would never recommend staying here.

I usually don't do reviews but the unfriendly guy at the front made me do so. It was my worst experience out of all Holiday Inn Expresses. The room was not clean having hairs on towels when we entered the room. I asked for housekeeping both at the unfriendly counter and by a voice message at the housekeeping number but wasn't done the next day. Our family was out during the daytime and returned to our room in the evening. We were out of towels and it was really difficult to get help. The counter had only one towel when we needed four. You have to park at the basement garage but they won't explain friendly during check-in and put a annoying paper on your car window if you park on the first floor even for a very short while. A lot of plastic covers of buttons and lights in the elevator was damaged and the door locks had poor maintenance.

The ease of getting to my room from the garage. It was very quiet at the hotel. I would recommend this property to friends & family.

Internt , wifi, was very poor and slow , runnig 9-12 mps . Amd dropping every two minutes, I missed few meeting and call. I couldent use my cell for data and calls because not reception inside the rooms. I had to go outside for calling my friends and family , receptionist said to me I have to go to lobby to have better internet or phone reception . It was ridiculous. Heater noisy and full of dust ،carpets with multiple stains. I'm a member but not sure to come back there anymore.

We reserved two rooms for myself and grandkids and traveled in one vehicle , grandkids loved the pool and room, when checking out we were charged parking for each room even though we only had one vehicle, I don't agree with that...

Great location to visit San Fran on a family budget.

we have stayed here a few times now and it’s really the best value in the best location. front desk staff is responsive—if/ when there is an issue they make it right. cleaning staff are so genuinely friendly and if you need a cleaning they will come! rooms and bathrooms are always clean. beds are a little uncomfortable (but that’s may be just me). pool and hot tub are clean and easy to get to for a dip. the free hot breakfast buffet is the truly unique perk of this place. every other day it’s omelettes or scrambled eggs, bacon or various sausages. bagels, breakfast cereals, fresh fruit and hot cinnamon buns, and a pancake maker top it off. it’s not gourmet, but it’s wonderful to relax among family in the morning with a hot meal in the abundant seating area.

5th stay, close to family.

Booked a Queen but got a Full size bed. Room had thin walls. Could hear next door baby cry and mother's voice. Odd bathroom layout with no shelves, towel bar by the sink, or soap, except liquid soap installed in shower. Only 1 small 12" round table with lower shelf. Towels were rough/coarse. Breakfast was AWESOME! Pancke making machine, scrambled eggs, bacon, toast, cereal, pastries & more.
